Premium Bistro — Restaurant in Budapest

I have overlooked this small bistro while I stay here and explore the local food. Tonight after a long gym session I was too tired to cook or go anywhere to eat so the bistro downstairs seemed like a natural choice. And I was deeply impressed by the timely service and the quality of the food. I ordered the cucumber salad with sour cream as a side dish, and the chicken paprika with parsley dumplings. The cucumber was thinly sliced and perfectly pickled in salt and sugar which highlighted the original subtle fresh taste and texture of the humble cucumber. The sour cream cut through the sharpness of the dish and balanced it all out. It's a perfect side dish for a warm summer night. The chicken was melted in my mouth and the paprika sauce is deep and well balanced and matched perfectly with the chicken. The parsley dumplings were a delightful surprise for me. The drinks are at a reasonable price, the food is delicious but in my opinion overpriced. You get a tiny portion. There is a male waiter who is the kindest person you can find in a restaurant, always cheerful, always kind and will do his best to get what you're looking for. The female staff in the bar are very kind and helpful, would lend their personal belongings (lighter) even, which makes you as a guest feel very welcome. A mai napon 16:30 magasságában foglaltunk helyet a teraszon, hiszen a táblára óriási betűkkel ki volt írva, hogy "Újra várjuk kedves vendégeinket a teraszunkon, zavartalan működéssel, napi menüvel, stb stb." A székek, asztalok kipakolva, TV bekapcsolva. 10 perc ücsörgés után, miután senki nem szólt hozzánk egy szót sem, még azt sem, hogy elnézést zárva vagyunk - a párom bement, hogy felkeltse az esetleges pincér figyelmét, mire azt a választ kapta, hogy" CLOSED".
