We spent our third year anniversary with my fiancée. This was our first time at a Wasabi place and we went for the Running Sushi & Wok.
First of all, the place itself is really atmospheric and very nice. It's a really classy looking place. Classy enough to wear some nice clothes when you dine in to elevate the experience.
As for the food, I have zero complaints. The chef's work is exceptional as there are all kinds of food you can eat and as we noticed there are even new items that aren't on the menu as of yet. With all of the food going in a circle on a conveyor belt, you have the opportunity to try out all of the foods that maybe you were too afraid to order alone at the restaurant. I have to say, that I'm not a big fan of seafood partly because to me it can taste funny, but here it was really delicious and I have eaten more seafood than ever before. Even if you don't really want to eat seafood there are still plenty of options for you to try! Which is amazing! Don't make the mistake of thinking you can try every single dish because you'll be full before you can reach the end of the menu, but that's part of the charm.
Finally, the service was one of my best restaurant experiences ever. There's a smart screen on every table on which you can order food to be on the conveyor belt at no extra price. Also there's a little button to call the waiter if you'd want to order anything else or just have a question. The staff is really nice and welcoming. Our server, Dani always made sure that we were enjoying our food and completely satisfied. He was really nice all together and was always there on time when we needed him. The work they do is simply fantastic.
Overall the whole experience was magical and I can't recommend this place enough for anyone who wants to try something new.
Thanks Dani for the great service. We are...
Read moreThis has to be the most disgusting experience I've ever had. EVER! I went in with my husband and we asked for an English menu. The waitress pointed at some chairs for us to take a seat. She gave us two menus and disappeared. And that was the end of it. We decided to spend over 40000 HUF on drinks and food. Nobody came to ask us what drinks we want, what food we want. The problem was that the there were 3 waitresses at the bar, playing with each other's hair (how disgusting...in a restaurant!). So it's not that they were so busy. In fact, the restaurant was empty! Eventually, after about 15 minutes some woman comes to us and asks us what we want. We asked her about the special offer of all you can eat for 7000 HUF per person and how does that work if you decide to go for it. Her answer? She pointed at the conveyor belt and said "one moment". So we waited...for another 10 minutes. Nobody else came to us. She went back to play with the other waitress' hair and we got ignored. At that point, we decided to simply stand up and go. I can't believe these people were so rude and so incredibly ridiculous not to realise that if they serve us well and allow us to spend the amount of money we intended on food, they would have got a huge tip. We took our money and custom somewhere else and will never return to this place again. The beauty of it is that we have a dedicated travel and food blog where we can advise over 20k readers and over 35k social media followers that they should avoid this place like the plague... I guess, the staff needs to be replaced with some hard working individuals who actually want to make money and get...
Read moreDear.…manager, owner,or whom ever involved I was in Wasabi restaurant Debrecen with my friend on 13 feb 2023 around 8.06pm. We wanted to have some dinner after school but then some bad situation happened. We were there and they gave us food menu. We have to wait like…30 minutes until of the the staff come to us for taking food order. But we told them that they forgot to give us a drink menu so we asked for that. After we got a drink menu and be ready to order. But then again we have to wait for 10-15 minutes more…even tho the restaurant was almost empty!!. We made the eyes contact to a male waiter….but the reaction was so unbelievable . He looks at us and walk pass!!! Keeps collecting some glasses and walk around the restaurant. We wait for more 5 minutes until we were sure that nobody will come to us then we left and say thank you to the staff.
We walked out from the restaurant and then accidentally saw the staff through the widow… !!!!!!!THEY WERE LOOKING AND LAUGHING AT US!!!!!!!!!!!
We called the manager after we saw that ridiculous behavior… here what she said “He laughed because he doesn’t know English!? And the restaurant was full house!!!?????”
I have the proof that the place almost empty at the time I was there.
Come on…Wasabi is a famous restaurant we had a very time here every time we came. Please pay attention to your stuff more carefully.
I will come back for sure and hope that next time I won’t get the same service like this.
Looking forward for your positive...
