We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a good place to eat while in the city. It is a very beautifully designed restaurant. I recommend reserving a table, we got very lucky with getting the last available table for lunch. They offer the menu in Hungarian, English, and German. The waiters are very friendly and understand multiple languages. We ordered the homemade lemonade and Chicken breast with Cheddar cheese sauce, spring onion, red currant sauce and fried potatoes and Woodman pork with additional side of potato slices. All the food was absolutely delicious and the portions were plentiful. Prices were very reasonable especially for the size of the dishes. They even provide reading glasses, in case you left yours at home. :D Definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful restaurant close to the river and city centre with wonderful atmosphere and service ( English, German speakers). With delicious food, warning portions are big. I recommend to try fish soup as it is coming from this region but you need to be careful with fish bones. ( Do not recommend to those who do not like carp). Our waiter was very nice and offered me a cloth to cover my white shirt whilst eating soup (Wise advice). I had turkey with camembert cheese and plum and it was heavenly wonderful. My fiance who doesn't like plum also loved it. Restaurant is full of local people, eating, chatting and laughing which brings a wonderful charm to the place and shows how nice this place and food is. Definitely recommend!

Very nice, cozy place in heart of Szeged. I recommend this place to everyone who visits Szeged. You can choose from a good variety of traditional Hungarian dishes. Anything you choose you cannot go wrong with it. I was here with my dad and sister we ordered to share a fish soup which came in a nice cauldron. After we had three types of fish (pictures) everything was delicious, fresh and the service was great and fast even though it was rush hour. I definitely will come back here to try other dishes. Oh, and if you’re there don’t forget to ask their homemade lemonade (they have a sugar free option too) it’s large and refreshing … so so good!!!

A trendy and cozy restaurant, might appear a bit upper class but the prices are actually pretty well balanced. There is a big variety of food and mostly in the Traditional Hungarian scope. The Fish soup was excellent, but then came the main course. And I mean it was really good, don't get me wrong, but the portion was huge. Now there is no need to worry about me I managed with it, but my wife had trouble with the whole thing. Those with large appetite, you'll enjoy this place a lot. But yeah, it's weird to say that my only concern is the large dish size. Service was nice too by the way, not forgetting to mention that!

We were sad :( Actually very sad, becouse the restaurant has discontinued one of its legendary and best dishes: the “káposztás bableves”. The place looks nice after the renovation last year. The foods are traditonal hungarian dishes, and all tastes... good (really, actually the food is average, nothing special without the “káposztás bableves”, sorry). The service is good here, we can recommend the place, althogh, they lack an english menue, and we miss the “káposztás bableves” a lot :(

We have been recommended to try this restaurant. It has a beautiful interior, reminded us of a British Pub with a good style. Have chosen a fried carp with chips and the traditional Fishermen Soup from Szeged. They both tasted quite lovely. You will need to order your side dish separately when choosing the main meal. The soup was served with bread and was given some ground chilli. Would recommend this place if you would like to enjoy a good fish dish in a lovely atmosphere.
