I recently dined at Roosevelt Restaurant as part of a pre-planned lunch for our tour group, and the experience was deeply disappointing.
Despite the fact that we had all pre-ordered our lunch options well in advance, the food was served cold, with numerous orders incorrect, and some members of our group never received their meals at all. The entire purpose of pre-ordering was to ensure accuracy and that everyone would be served at the same time. Unfortunately, neither objective was achieved, leaving many in our group frustrated and hungry.
As for the food itself, it didn’t live up to the hype. The quality was subpar at best, and certainly not what one would expect from a restaurant with such a reputation. Combined with the poor service, the overall experience was underwhelming.
I cannot recommend Roosevelt Restaurant based on this visit and hope they take steps to improve both their food quality and service efficiency...
Read moreThis place gives a very traditional feeling, both in respect to it's decoration and menu. We had mixed fish soup which was generous in size and very tasty (after it we didn't feel hungry anymore!) and fried pork meat stuffed with ham and cheese, which was also very good and not swimming in fat (as one would expect for fried dishes!). Prices are a bit above average I would say, but affordable. There were some difficulties in understanding the menu as it was stating different things in different languages... Also the staff could be more welcoming and attentive to tourists. We asked to pay the bill separately (there were two of us) and that one of us pays his bill in cash and the other with card... and the waiter replied with just a short and strict "No." Although I really wouldn't say this is an uncommon and unmanageable request, a simple "No, sorry." or some other kind of courtesy...

I ordered a glass of wine from one of the expensive bottles and I received a bad tasty, sour, wine. I observed that something is not as it should be and asked the other waiter about the type of the ordered wine..and guess what? - He said they do not have that bottle of wine..
Furthermore, they brought a basket of bread without to order something like that!
Courtesy was missing at all. No question about dessert, etc but the other waiter was very polite with the other guest at the table behind.
Very, very disappointing for a traditional restaurant as it advertised!
A control of the local authorities would be good there. Will address...
