No need to go to the small food stalls near the entrance of Taj Mahal where you are most likely to be scammed or exploited. Walk for around 15 minutes and you will find this amazing little restaurant where they serve various types of food, foods which are delicious and hygienic as well. I met the owner who I found to be quite hospitable and an excellent conversationalist. He made sure I was comfortable there, and his son prepared such a refreshing Lassi! I was desperately in need of something cold and soothing after visiting Taj Mahal in this hot weather and it was just that. Also tried one of their signature items since it was the only thing available at that time. I ended the eating session with cold coffee with ice cream there. Was planning to go back to have late lunch but couldn't as I had a train to catch. Akram was very quite friendly and I had a long and interesting chat with him. I'd highly recommend this place

Good food and friendly service! And last but not least, the best lassi in India :)) The restaurant is located directly towards the direction of Taj Mahal and a great stop for breakfast before visiting, lunch during your visit or dinner after your visit at the taj, because it's reachable from every entrance. Considering the crowded streets outside, we didn't expect a lot, but we were surprised of this hidden gem after entering. The ambience is very nice, clean and comfortable and the menu is very affordable compared to the other tourist restaurants. The owner is really nice and always open for a short talk. The food is cooked with fresh ingredients in a clean surrounding and you can watch the cook through the glass door, because the kitchen is directly beside the dining room. Portions are belly filling and price-value is great. Will definitely go there again, at least for a lassi :)

Finding Korean cuisine in India is a rarity, and Joney's Place offers a unique fusion of Korean and Indian flavors. However, if you're expecting authentic Korean dishes, you may be disappointed. We tried a variety of dishes including bulgogi rice, omurice, sujebi, kimchi fried rice, and banana lassi. Among them, the banana lassi stood out for its real banana flavor and refreshing taste. Unfortunately, the Korean dishes seemed to be heavily influenced by Indian flavors, deviating from traditional Korean cuisine. Portion sizes were notably small, leaving us wanting more. Service was another downside, with only one server and two cooks managing a small kitchen. Expect lengthy wait times, averaging around 30-40 minutes per dish. In summary, while Joney's Place offers an interesting fusion of Korean and Indian cuisine, those seeking authentic Korean dishes may be disappointed by the Indian-influenced flavors and small portion sizes. Additionally, be prepared for slow service due to limited staff.

Nice, small and compact restaurant. The pricing is reasonable. The staff was courteous and sanitization & cleanliness were maintained. Food was okay, not very special as most of the reviews suggest. As per the chef, the basic cooking style is Fusion, which is very nice to try but too much experiment or time control might not end well. Specifically, Garlic Roti/Naan were absolutely bad coz they used Ginger-garlic paste in the dough instead of freshly chopped garlic. Waiting time is 20-25 mins. We went for lunch around 3 and most of the items listed on the menu weren't available. Overall, it is an okay place to try once for some new flavors.

One of the best of best place to eat near tajmahal.. They have good variety of foods which includes Korean, North Indian, Mugalai snacks and desserts.. Hospitality is very good and the ambience is also good though the space is very less and compact.. We had butter naan, garlic naan, cheese naan, mugalai chicken, panner pasanda and Agra style chicken briyani.. Paneer pasanda and chicken mugalai was damn good.. Naan was very very soft and tasted damn good.. 👌Would recommend this place for everyone who visit Taj Mahal.. Itz just 5min walk from Taj mahal's east gate.. Would love to visit again.. Owner ashu baiya is customer oriented..

As Indians, we didn't feel very welcome at this place. Ordered malai kofta as it was one of the mentioned specialities but they pushed us not to order it as it will be boiled / not good taste for us as Indians. So we ordered Paneer dish. Next we ordered Roti but it was not available and they asked us to order Naan. When asked, it was said that Naan only contains wheat but that was definitely not the case (you can see the picture). Food is one thing, but felt that foreigners are given better treatment over Indians. Maybe that is their preference and totally fine but they can add it to their board :)
