Bowlers — Restaurant in Assam

This used to be an ok place. In the beginning their food was bad. Then they improved. It was not just an improvement in food but service too. At present the food is good but the service is outright terrible. Here are my takes on the latest visit : The music is too loud for the sitting area. Considering the compact eating space the volume of music borderlines on being unbearable specially with the bootleg/ cover christmas songs. The servers are clueless, the order desk crew has no idea what is going on in the kitchen. The servers have a habit of serving the wrong table. They will bring food to the wrong table. They will bring ungarnished food to the right table only to take it back to fully finish the dish when the patron is already halfway through his meal. There are constant quarrels in the kitchen. Audible ones. Screaming matches at best. they try to drown the sounds with the loud repetitive songs which start getting burdensome. The wait times are legendarily long. One order of Jakarta rice and a side dish takes them 2 hours if you are lucky. If not then wait because they might have delivered to the wrong table and are preparing it again.

The front desk/order desk/ reception crew is utterly dishonest. They will say five minutes only but you will have to wait 30 to 40 minutes. The front desk will not remember what you ordered. 8. Always check you bill. They have system of sending the bill to your mobile via a smslink which I think is totally a disingenuous way to do it since firstly, they have a habit of charging more due to misplaced orders and they do not know how to calculate the taxes once you correct them. So always pay well after finishing your food and not before under any circumstances. Your time has no value to them. Food is good but the whole experience will be ruined by the confused and dishonest crew, terribly loud music, wrong billing and superlong wait times. God forbid you go on a first date vouching for this place. I went with my wife and still felt second hand embarrassment for the dating people.

Btw they have managed to increase their prices inspite of the newly acquired...
