I've been hearing about Lush Cafe for a while, with claims of exceptional food, but honestly, it fell very short of expectations. The atmosphere is pleasant, set in a cozy spot overlooking Jor Pukhuri. Unfortunately, there's nothing particularly outstanding beyond that.

My spouse and I decided to pay a visit last Friday for a quick meal and perhaps some takeout. We opted for the popcorn mushroom starter and a serving of creamy peanut noodles. The popcorn mushroom turned out to be disappointingly tough and chewy, leaving our jaws sore. We brought this issue to the waiter's attention, but she simply suggested trying something else next time. Not only was it overly hard, but the taste was also unappealing. It was supposed to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, but it felt like we were munching on fried tree branches—it was that tough. And please stop calling it your so called "bestseller". If that classifies as a bestseller Inam afraid what your other dishes have to offer. The noodles were extremely dry, making it a struggle to swallow each bite. We also ordered the "Anari Kabab with Lacha Paratha" for takeout, which was excessively spicy. After just a few bites, I started sweating profusely. To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant! I wouldn't have taken the time to write such a detailed review if this were an inexpensive roadside eatery.

I came to Lush Cafe at 9:30 PM, hoping to enjoy a nice meal, but the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked in, the service was shockingly slow. The staff wandered around aimlessly, barely looking my way, and when I finally managed to place my order, getting their attention again was nearly impossible.

I ordered two dishes, but it took over an hour for the first one to arrive. By that point, I'd had enough. When I asked for the bill, the waiter begged me to stay, instead of addressing the real issue—horrendously slow service. I repeatedly asked to speak with the manager, and when they finally showed up, they couldn't have cared less. The manager seemed completely oblivious to the disaster happening in their kitchen and barely offered an apology for mixing up my order or the agonizing wait.

The food itself? Totally not worth the wait. If I wanted a bland pizza and some mediocre, fancy-sounding dish, I could’ve just whipped up something from Instagram at home. Visiting Lush - The Cafe in Guwahati was an absolute treat! This beautiful, cute little pure vegetarian cafe stole our hearts with its cozy ambiance and amazing food. From the moment we stepped in, it felt warm and welcoming.
