The first thing that stands out is the beautifully traditional setting: all the beautification is done using bamboo, which creates a warm and earthy atmosphere that feels deeply connected to Assamese culture. The place itself is both visually appealing and soothing, making it comfortable to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. The food was a real highlightâthe meal was served in kaah plates, staying true to traditional Assamese style and adding an authentic touch that elevated the whole experience. Every side dish had distinct flavors that hit the right spot: from the rich dal to the tangy and spicy veggie preparations, every bite was packed with taste and freshness. The main dishes, especially the curries and vegetable preparations, tasted home-cooked and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, the black rice kheer stood out as a unique and delicious treat. Its subtle sweetness and creamy texture rounded off the meal beautifully, leaving a lasting impression. Overall, every item servedâfrom starters to dessertâfelt carefully prepared and full of flavor.    Read moreWhile looking for restaurants for a detailed ethnic Thali to make my friend from Uttar Pradesh try local Assamese cuisine, I stumbled upon this place.
The hotel where I stayed, even they recommended this place, so it was a no-brainer and I decided to visit this location.
It was absolutely amazing to have a proper Thali in this restaurant. We were greeted by the beautiful ambience and lighting. The location is also quite easy to find in Jorhat.
I tried the Pork Thali, whereas my friend tried the Chicken Thali. All the items in the thali were lipsmacking for sure. The server was extremely kind enough to recommend us what shall we try and what are the contents of the Thali. He even took the effort of explaining each and every dish, its preparation, its presentation and it was a very homely feeling.
The refills of the Thali were also complimentary, so it was an âall you can eatâ experience.
I absolutely loved visiting this place, and whenever I visit Jorhat the next time, I would definitely revisit...
Read morePlease note.. I'm reviewing it only in account of Pork recipes as i haven't tried other recipes like fish...duck...chicken etc. So pork lovers very honestly if you guys are hunting for some good pork recipes then just skip this restaurant.....otherwise you will be wasting your money and time. Never try pork here. Its really disgusting. Three main reasons i hated it...
1)quality of the pork , they are using stinky pork meat (this is little cheaper then local pork as it is imported from UP). I dont know how many of you know about , its pork but it has a very bad smell, ever since the beginning you start to cook it. If you had cooked it someday you would understand what im saying.
i also tasted the pork cooked with sesame seed ...which they rosted longer before adding to the gravy i guess and thus the whole thing got a bitter taste.
the other normal pork gravy i guess they had a base masala gravy which they put everywhere and when you have the pork gravy you will find only masala instead...
