We went there on a jam-packed evening of 14th February 2024 on the occasion of Saraswati Puja-Valentine's day.
We were near Dighalipukhuri area searching for possible places to dine and were fortunate to get a table after waiting 5 minutes.
Food - We ordered Classic Original Hummus with extra Pita bread. The Hummus was really good and the chef has done a good job of keeping the Lebanese roots of the Hummus intact. We also ordered the Chicken Kebab Pocket. The kebab integrated in the dishes were well done and properly seasoned. Finally for dessert, we had ordered Baklava. The Baklava was served hot with a scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream, a unique take of modernness on the old Lebanese heritage of a cuisine. Overall, the Kebab Pocket and Hummus were a winner for me, no offense on the Baklava as it was a tad bit too sweet for me. Food - 4.9/5
Service - On arrival, the waiter was very polite and ensured a clean table for us to dine on. The dishes were served hot and reached our table in good time. The server ensured steady service even though it was a busy festive evening. Service - 5/5
Atmosphere - The number of tables are placed in such a number there is barely any place to move but I can understand it is more an inclusive culture based Lebanese cafe where even Lebanon would have such a setting probably where people are kind and considerate enough to move when people are leaving the cafe. The decor could include a bit more artifacts resembling a bit of Lebanon to justify the niche category. Atmosphere - 4.8/5
Overall - 5/5. Must visit if you wish to try out a proper Hummus in Guwahati. The price of food is a bit high for a full course meal, but the genuineness and taste fully justifies the price I believe.

Read moreHummus, located near Dighalipukhuri, is one of the places where you should go if you love exploring new cuisines. Definitely for people, like me, who are tired of picturesque ‘aesthetic’ cafes who serve the same things (french fries, sachet ketchups, calorie bomb shakes) at overpriced rates.
It was my first time trying middle eastern cuisine. I don’t know if I ate them the right way but every single item tasted good. Really good.
We ordered Al-Faham chicken half, pocket shawarma and Pepsi. The Shawarma was juicy and tender and so fresh. The Al-Faham chicken is for the real Chicken lovers. I’m not a big fan of chicken or non veg items but I can’t help thinking about how good these items were. The Pita bread had a very nice and freah taste to it. The food was flavourful but not overpowering at all. They came with Hummus, a tomato dip, garlic mayo and a raita. Everything was in-house. And also pickled veggies.
The prices were nice compared to the food they served and the service they provided. Also they serve soft drinks and water at MRP which was really nice to see as it is not the case in many places in Guwahati. The staff was nice and friendly too.
I wish there were more stars cause I wish to give them more than just 5. Definitely the place you should spend your money and time at. Definitely I’ll go recommend this place to others and keep...
Read moreI recently visited Hummus Lebanese Cafe in Digholipukhuri, Guwahati, and it was a delightful experience. The quaint and well-decorated interior, adorned with lights, created a feel-good atmosphere enhanced by soft background music. The service was efficient, adding to the overall positive impression.
Now, let's talk about the real showstopper – the food. The Lebanese chicken wings were an absolute revelation, boasting an explosion of flavors that left my taste buds in awe. The portion size was not only generous but also perfectly priced, making it a win-win.
And then, there was the Lamhee lamb manakish – a Turkish lamb pizza with cheese. "Heavenly" doesn't quite capture the essence of its taste. Every bite was a journey through layers of richness and perfection. My only regret? That there weren't more slices to savor, though the exquisite taste compensated for any desire for quantity.
To complement the meal, we tried a peach iced lemon tea and an americano, both of which were satisfying. Hummus Lebanese Cafe indeed provided an amazing culinary experience, and I'm eagerly looking forward to...
