Lake house cafe — Restaurant in Assam

We visited the cafe today. Ambience was average. Food quality below average. But the most shocking was behaviour of manager and waiter. One customer seated adjacent to our table lost his lighter which was quite expensive. The waiter without a moment put accusation of theft on me and my husband. To which the customer also believed and asked us..we cooperated with him gave him permission to check our bags..pockets...and car also...he took our identity card details also and then denied to give his own details..not his phone number not even his name by saying he is uncomfortable. The waiter did not saw us taking the lighter but he was sure we took it because we were seating near the table. In this entire incident the manager did not even bothered to come and manage the situation not even apologize for their ill behaviour. They don't have any cctv which they must have to manage public places like this.

Word of caution- please don't visit the restaurant if you want to protect your...

At a place like Tezpur, which is taking giant steps towards modernisation, Lake House Cafe boasts of such a perfect offering to suit the taste of enthusiastic foodies as well as laid back weekenders… Nice location, sprawling spread, nice decor and top it up with lovely food… Now the difficult part.. the maintenance… its poor. Frankly staffs are not at all concerned about the upkeep of such a nice establishment. The washroom is dirty, the balcony balustrade, the outdoor sitting area as well as the inner decor, you will be weary of seeing cobwebs and spiders everywhere… a spoiler for any planned evening as You would definitely not like Your lady or your child to face the menace… So my sincere request to the Management, that it takes lot to build a thing, it takes even more to maintain it that way. As a well wisher I would definitely like to visit back and post better...

Firstly there are 3 sections in it and the first section is for families and kids but anyone can sit there i went with my friends and we enjoyed there and the food was tastey as well 😋. The 2nd section is inside the building i think there goes the couples and stuff but the food served in the 3 sections are the same .3rd is the last area and it's a smoking section so people can go and smoke there but if it's not crowded you can also go there and take photos and stuff but you cannot eat there if you have given the order at the two other sections. So the final judgment is that the food is great it is clean and has proper hygiene and it's all age friendly.
