I visited Ohana on two very different occasions. The first time it was crowded and tables were almost full. The second time I was the only one occupying a table (at the time of placing my order). Surprisingly, it was the second time when I was kept waiting for more than 45 minutes for my order — Spaghetti Carbonara, Cucumber Mint Julep and Tropical Spice. I believe that drinks shouldn't take ages to prepare. Who would want to wait half an hour just for drinks to arrive! I was satisfied with the food served but the waiting thing really got on my nerves. Since Ohana is new, coordination among staff is an area they need to look into because if not rectified right at the outset, it will develop into a culture. Also, waiters need to be more confident in their knowledge about the items on the menu. Blank gazes on being asked how a particular item is prepared/cooked doesn't help much. This can be corrected via more immersive training. I also observed that the cleaner was sweeping the floor right as I was having my meal with a huge broom (phool jhadu). Against the sunlight I could see dust particles flying straight into my food. It wasn't pleasant to watch that. Using smaller plastic brooms (with a foldable dustpan) might help rather. The AC too, although kept on, was running at a temperature of 30 degrees. What's the point to keep the HVAC system running at that temperature when it's blazing hot outside? My last suggestion to the management is to also accept card payments. My phone's battery died and as I was short on cash, I couldn't pay through UPI.
