The Barbeque Company Guwahati | Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Assam

Really felt Very Much Disgusted Visiting Barbeque Company Today . I have reached the Restaurant by 9:40 and they took entry at the registration counter and followed us to the Table. After that The waiter with a white Shirt instead of Greetings us Directly Gave us a Disclaimer That " The outlet and everything will be shut by 10:30pm" like really is this some kinda welcome to Guest . They could have told us at the entry point itself I would have choosed to visit some other resturant. Since I and my friends were already sitting in the table so felt bad to move out at that moment which was a bad decision i regret now . Then the buffet started . But only things served in the starters were Puchka , fish, chicken, prawn mushroom and paneer also crispy corn. The response and regularity of starters were very low felt like that are limited . I have visited the place at starting of this restaurant too and really had lots of options and today was disgusted feeling that was of no worth . We in a hurry took the starters what ever we can in a limited time then went for main course where the rice and pulao like was already hard which felt like cooked a long ago . Went for mutton which was not available in counter and they told that they will serve us in the table and we said ok . But was 4 pieces of Mutton enough for 3 person in a buffet restaurant . Even I didn't bother to ask it again as I and friends were already upset . Then we in a hurry ate little whatever we could in a limited time . Then the waiters in presence of 2 table customers including us were in hurry to close the outlet and were wrapping up other tables in presence of customers including us and 1 more family , which really felt a bad ambience and behaviour towards present customers. It felt that we should hurry up and pay and leave . At last when I asked to remove the plates and bring the bill The waiter was in so hurry that while picking up plates and stuffs in hurry he dropped a bowl in the table from which some spots of curry fell in my Jeans too . really had a very bad customer service experience and Wasted My Hard earned money of Rs 3133/- in today's buffet which obviously was a rush and harsh dinner date . Really I would never visit here again and even will urge my friends and relatives too to not visit as there are many more options available in Entire Guwahati with Great Customer Hospitality . Went there for lunch. We were readily greeted by a stewardess to our table. Then in a few minutes the steward and a another served us our skewers . The starters , barbeque was very delicious. The chicken momos were good too. The chats were average as in any of the barbeque chains in the city. We were given complimentary drinks with a 4-5 options. The red sauce pasta was better than the white one. We gobbled up quite an amount of starters . The mutton seekh kebab was tasty, fish kebab was good as well, the prawns were juicy and tasty the chicken was good as well. The pineapple barbeque was surprisingly good. The mushrooms were tasty as well . The potatoes could be better. The main course had quite few dishes that was delicious like the butter chicken, mutton Rogan Josh, paneer butter masala, the others were okay. I didn't like the chicken in the Kolkata dum biryani as it was dry and not seasoned properly but the biryani rice was good. Their dessert section was good offering quite a variety of pastry , and other things . The paan kulfi was delicious. Pros: Well on the brighter side the place was pretty and the service was satisfying . The food was delicious the starters were amazing. Things I liked was th momos, mutton seekh kebab, prawns, chicken kebab, the mushrooms, the butter chicken, paneer butter masala, mutton Rogan Josh, and pan kulfi. Cons: The place is little small compared to other buffet restaurants. Their was just one washroom and had to keep waiting. The food in some areas could have been better . I had made a reservation at this place for a Sunday dinner and when I reached I was seated in a place where there was no place to move and also restricted from the view of the staff.

The service of the staff was pathetic. No mention of what items was going to be served. When asked what were the items on the menu, the staff stated nonchalantly that what we were getting on the plate were the only items on the menu.

I had checked their menu online and asked about the items which were not provided. I was informed that they were not avaliable. ( this was not the case as I saw those items near the main course).

The taste of the food was rather bad, the marination on the items were extra salty and there was no consistency in the quality of the food. The chilli baby corn tasted quite a lot different when I took for the second time.

Our next table was provided a feedback form and the server did not even provide us with one.

Oh, and the place was stuffed up like anything, there was literally very less space to move about. That arrangement of the place makes it a safety hazard for the customers.

Bad response time from the server, no quality control on the food, poor seating arrangement. Overall I can confidently state that this is the worst BBQ place in guwahati.
