Firstly I am really happy writing this review because it just stolen my heart at first go. First day I was there with three of my friends and entering the cafe around 8 I felt the vibe of a retro cosmic cafe releasing its good music, perfect ambience and good crowd. We had try few of the drinks and two dishes my favourite was the prawn tempura... The place : It’s a friendly free space where one and enjoy the fullest. They have free wifi which is a big thumps up.The place also gives you an Antique feel and is Crafted well with amazing the decor. Each and everything found in the cafe is like very unique and out of the box. One can find freshly brewed coffees, teas, fresh juices,smoothies,mocktails/cocktails &what not.. They claim they have the best breakfast in town ! I didn’t try it yet but definitely trying Soon. Hospitality : Coming to service & hospitality I would rate definitely a 5 out 5 because such amazing managers & staffs. Really humble and thanks for hosting so well. They serve liquor from 6pm and trust me the entire place is changed from a cafe to a bar arrangement. The second time I went it was astonishing to see everything well & knowing more about the place. My favourites and must try from the food section: Crispy honey chilli lotus stems, Thai fusion pao bhaji ,pan fried chicken gyozas from the appetisers you definitely need to try ! Mains try for the Desi Mac and cheese,Paneer Makhani pizza, grilled lemon butter garlic fish,Hawaiian Barbeque pizza and the Mexican burrito bowl... For desserts definitely go for their toothsome waffles, Oreo mania pancakes, the chocolate mousse ofcourse If you are at Uptown Escape do not forget to try the espresso con pana and chai coffee I totally found a lot of options in shakes too where the best I liked was the pan shake and the funfetti cake shake. They have more options which we can also try! The mocktails & cocktails were pretty decent & every unusual from the basic ones. Try the ghost chilli caprioska !
Lastly I request the people of guwahati this place is a must try and you definitely need to check it out ! Enjoy ! And I hope this review...
Read moreI visited this beautiful place a few days back for dinner. They have an amazing concept. They have rotating shelves with coffee mugs and other cup items on one side and bar essentials on the other side. So the entire cafe looks like a cafe in the daytime and as soon as it is night, it converts to a lit bar where people can come and enjoy their drinks and amazing food. They have a lot of items in their menu. The breakfast items are available till 6 pm. We tried some of their amazing dishes and the description has been given below:
Mocktails:
Strawberry Chia Iced Tea: This drink with peppermint tea strawberry and chia seeds was very refreshing.
Virgin Mango Mojito: This was a tangy drink and was again very refreshing.
Japanese cuisine:
Sushi: Avocado Spanish Cream Cheese Maki: This was a veg sushi which was very well presented. I have tried sushis in many places but this place serves them one of the best in the city.
Italian cuisine:
Chicken Lasagna: Chicken Lasagna is one of my favorite Italian dish and this place didn't fail to satisfy my taste buds. It was generously filled with chicken and cheesy.
Chicken Quesadilla: The chicken quesadilla over here is also very good. Generous filling and was topped with tomato salsa. The presentation was beautiful too...
Veggie Lovers Pizza: I would recommend everyone to try their thin crust pizzas. This pizza overloaded with cheese and veggies just made my day.
Lastly in dessert, I tried their Nutella Hazelnut Pancakes which were very soft and yummy. Do try their pancakes. Please note it's available only till 6pm.
Overall I had an amazing experience in this place. The staff were very courteous and interactive. The food was amazing and the ambience is very welcome. The food not only tasted great but the way they present every dish, it's a treat to the eyes.
I would surely recommend this place...
Read moreWhat a great find for a coffee lover like me! They serve a Dark Roast called Café Noir that is hands down the best tasting coffee roast I’ve had and now my new favourite. Their ice blended coffee’s rival Starbucks and I obviously side with theirs’s due to their coffee roasts. A nice touch to the menu is their coffee descriptions. Most places don’t explain the coffee style and what goes in it. Their “Espresso Con Panna” Which is essentially just espresso topped with whipped cream is a coffee lovers delight and a great dessert option. Enough about their coffee now. As most reviews here describe the interiors of this café by day, cocktail bar by night are absolutely beautiful. A lot of greenery, artificial and real. Travel inspired photo graphs hanging on the wall. White stone table tops. Flowers on every table. A multitude of unique hanging light fixtures, unique décor in display cabinets. There is just a lot to take in here. All this makes for a really cozy & inspiring atmosphere. At night they start their Cocktail service as its strictly a café by day and does not serve any alcohol until 6 PM. Cool concept. The bar manager is very helpful and knowledgeable and goes out of his way to explain the drinks. Since I’m all thing coffee lately I tried their ‘Espresso Martini’ & ‘Espresso Mudslide’. Both of these were fantastic. Food is also very nice and their head chef is equally attentive. Their ‘Southwest Quesadilla’ & ‘Mexican Burrito Bowl’ is highly...
