We always used to trust Ananda Bhavan for tastiness and transparency. But had a really bad experience with Mysore A2B. On the way to Coorg, we entered inside Mysore only to relish the taste of A2B. We placed the order for 4 pooris and plain dosa and could get no response for more than 30 minutes. We were patient but could find that the same order was served in the near by tables. Finally after an hour's wait, when we were ready to go without breakfast the server came with plain dosa . When the bill arrived, we found that the bill included 4 pooris which was not served. When asked about this the server told instead of plain dosa he gave us ghee dosa whose price was higher than the pooris. We were like what???. A2B has been almost our permanent destination for breakfast whenever we travel several years now and we could easily identify between ghee dosa and plain dosa. Also does the serving personnel decide on spot what to be served. After around 15 mins of argument, he was like, you may go and I will pay from my pocket. The drama was created and enacted by the same person??? We found this behaviour outrageous and prepared to go and he stopped again asking us to pay. We never said we would not pay but why pay for something we had not had. When we were stern on that, he asked a billing personnel and dictated whatever we ordered and showed us ebill. Read moreWorst service. I visited there the Idli base price was 40 and 2 rs gst. My mobile phone was switched off, so could not pay online. I provided him cash 100rs, he denied giving saying I don't have 2 rs change. (I know logically it should be 8 but these were his words). I reiterated kya bhaiya fir nahi dena hai kya. He said irritatingly, either pay through machine or get the change. I did not like the way he spoke and found it insulting having standing there with money and he denying it for 2rs even though I was providing more than actual 42. I was literally like bhyi tu 50 kaat le but tameez mein toh bolna chahiye. But I found this insulting, the way in which he spoke so I stepped down from the shop without uttering a word and decided never ever to go there. Even my friend told he visited during closing time, though people were sitting and eating the staff denied saying it's closing time, he too went for idli. You need not cook, right? Just provide it, still. If higher management sees this review then take care of staff not to be concerned just about their monthly salary but atleast not to insult customer in a hospitality business. Self service, Food , Service - I had a meal at self service area at ground floor. For south india meals the charge us 160 INR. We know it is limited meals, the rice quantity is not known even in par. It will not even enough to take all items to blend with rice. The rice consistency is soo hard. That rellay any people make hard digestion. The sambar and karakolumbu is good. The rasam was half boiled, and potate wa not boiled enough. With the meal the don't even provide salt or pickle. We sat a 4 seater table but in our table the water was not prefilled in the jug. These are very simple and basic requirements which coustomers expect from service end.
Overall - I know A2B hotel is multi chain restaurant which is operating all over the world. Which I one of the very few hotel which providing high class vegetarian food. But this is my first time I am experiencing A2B hotel and food very first time in life. But 1st experience itself is soo bad and created bad impression about this hotel.
