Anand Vihar Restaurant — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Guy, I used to be a regular customer of Anand Vihar Restaurant as their prices are quite decent and food is also quite tasty. But recently I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. A few weeks back I ordered food from Anand Vihar via Food Panda app. The owner of the restaurant came to deliver the order. However, while delivering the order the owner handed me his restaurant pamphlet and asked me to order food directly from him next time instead of ordering it from food panda as they charge commission for him. So, I said ok and took the pamphlet.

After a few days, I again ordered food from this restaurant but this time I ordered it directly. I ordered a Choor Choor Kulcha Thali and in this Thali They provide 2 kulchas, jeera rice, papad, lassi, dal, butter paneer and gravy sabji. But this time when I ordered it directly from the restaurant, they forgot to pack the lassi which was mentioned in their food panda menu. So, I called the restaurant owner to ask why they have not sent the lassi with my order this time. The owner then straight away refused the with this Thali you don't get lassi. I argued with him that it's mentioned in his menu but he still refused and disconnected my call. Anyway, since it was just the lassi, I let the matter go.

Today, again I ordered the same Thali from food panda since last time they did not send me the lassi when I ordered it directly from them.

So this restaurant owner did not send me my order. The estimated delivery time is 45 mins but I nearly waited for 1.5 hours still they did not deliver my order. So I contacted food panda and asked them to contact the restaurant owner and see why they have still not sent my order.

The food panda executive called the restaurant and enquired. The owner lied to them that they already delivered my food 20 minutes back. I was extremely shocked to hear this. I informed the executive that I never received my order and requested them to cancel my order. At this food panda executive told me that they can't refund me my money as they have already delivered the order to me. I got extremely furious yet I still requested the executive to refund my money as I never received my order. But the food panda executive wasn't ready to believe me. When I told the executive to connect a conference call so the misunderstanding can be cleared, the executive put me on hold for more than 10 mins. I got really frustrated and it was only when I threatened them that if they don't refund my money, then I would be forced to lodge a complaint against them, only then the executive agreed to initiate the refund process but that too they are saying that it would take nearly 10 business days for the amount to reflect in my account.

Guys, I took out my precious time and wrote this long review because I wanted all of you to know about the malpractice by FoodPanda and it's partner restaurant (Anand Vihar) who try to cheat their customers and provide really pathetic and unprofessional service to their customers.

If you still want to use their services, it's upto you guys, but I just wanted everyone to know about...

They got it completely wrong! They must kept it's name as "Oil Vihar". Because you won't be happy (Anand) after ordering food which will be literally floating (Vihar) in oil.

I never been to this place, but I always avoided ordering food from this restaurant considering it's low rating. But, when my friend visited my home he ordered food on a app from this restaurant. It was one of the worst food I tasted in my life time.

DELIVERY: It was late by 30 Mins, I tried all languages I know to direct the delivery guy to our home. He was unable to understand Kannada, English, Hindi, Telgu, Tamil, Malyalam, Marathi... Sadly I didn't tried Bhojpuri!

FOOD: When the food arrived it was slightly warm and packaging was average. When we opened the box... Surprise! It's full of colored oil and oil and oil... Yuk!! Every box was full of oil, we were unable to distinguish between Gobi Manchurian, Kadai Paneer & Mix Veg Curry. They have used atleast 300ml oil for each dish. We didn't wanted to risk our precious lives, so we just threw it to dust bin directly. Naan & Roti were average and by the time it reached us, naturally it became rubber like. We tried to consume it with ketchup & pickle but couldn't able to eat over an half!

If you really want to ruin your evening, there are many other better ways for it (like watching Hum Shakals). Ordering from this restaurant is worstest in worst...

Not at all happy with the pricing of a meal. It costs double that of the veg restaurants nearby. Otherwise for Ala Carta also its average. You can order online using Swiggy and goodbox. Cards and paytm are...
