I'd never been to any Blue Tokai before and visited this one just because I had to meet someone and the location was convenient. I had an old 1950s camera with me which I'm testing out at different cafes to see if it works properly. No cafe has ever had an issue with me using it but a barista in Blue Tokai started protesting saying I can't take any photos. I said it's a film camera which may or may not even develop the photo because of how old it is and even if it does, it's not something I'm uploading anywhere. He kept refusing saying I can't take any pictures. I asked about the hundreds of pictures and videos people have already clicked and uploaded everywhere online including this Maps page and he kept shaking his head saying this is what the management wants. This is definitely my first and last experience at this coffee shop because I'm never setting foot in a single Blue Tokai ever again. There's no shortage of cafes in Bangalore anyway or even in the neighbourhood where this one is. There's a board in the cafe which says the rules they have about using headphones while listening to music and so on. The management can go ahead and add a line in it that says photography's not allowed because after all, your cafe's the center for...
Read moreBlue Tokai in Jayanagar is such a cozy spot with a modern, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for catching up with friends or spending some time by yourself. The ambiance is great, with just the right amount of buzz, making it a place you can hang out for hours.
We tried the chicken grilled sandwich, parmesan & garlic fries, and hot chocolate – and honestly, everything was spot on. The chicken grilled sandwich was so good! The bread was perfectly toasted, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the whole thing felt fresh and wholesome.
The parmesan & garlic fries were the real star, though. Crispy, golden, and loaded with the perfect balance of parmesan and garlic – they were absolutely addictive. If you’re a fries lover, these are a must-try!
The hot chocolate was rich, creamy, and comforting – just what you’d want on a slightly chilly day or when you’re in the mood for something warm and indulgent.
Overall, Blue Tokai is more than just great coffee; it’s a place with fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re...
Read moreSee the atmosphere and coffee were good. But when you go to a cafe you need peace. I went to this place with my colleague on a Sunday. We just sat for half and hour and I told the receptionist too that we will be ordering in sometime, right now I don’t want coffee. But the thing is, the guy came after half an hour and kept on insisting to order something. We told him please can you wait for sometime we will order surely. But they were like no first order. Then out of pressure we ordered early. We paid. Then we told the guy that we have paid can you please give after 20 mins, the guy was like no it’s already been 1 hour. I was like it’s not even 40 mins. I was frustated with this behaviour. I would suggest you if you want peace and all and want to work boycott such places if you face this kind of behaviour from the staff. I have been to Blue Tokai HSR, there the staff is friendly and will never force you to order. But this was my first and last experience in Blue Tokai Jayanagar. Also I would suggest you guys to consider alternatives like...
