Mishra Peda wala (Since 1933) the most wasteful chaat experience. The most unhappening Chaat experience I had in ages. The don't have any idea what is prepared and how. I had ordered two things Onion Kachori and Sev Puri. Both of which were extremely disappointing. The Onion Kachori should be renamed Onion Sprinkled Kachori since there was no onion filling inside the Kachori only few chopped onions were sprinkled as seasonings on the top. The Sev Puri which is traditionally made with papdi was made from Puris of Pani Puri and the assembly was really bad. I had to ask for more tamarind chutney just for shoving it down my throat. There was no taste in the Sev Puri and top it off just for presenting a good dressing ut was sprinkled with dry sev (namkeen). But don't fall for it. I think they should really focus better on assembly and customer service. The servers were moving from one stall to other clearly showing they are unable to manage the work. Being a huge Chaat fan and the poorest experience I had no choice and didn't order...
Read moreOne of the decent places for snaking 😀 in JayaNagar area with a North Indian flavour
Location - 27th Cross, 9th Main signal in JayaNagar 3rd Block - Refer Google Map
Shop - sells sweets and savouries inside and chats/Bhaji/sandwitch facing outside - Pay inside and get the bill/coupons to the service personnel. Sells Samosa, Kachori as well. And off course few types of peda.
Ambience - Poor, no place inside the shop, have to stand outside or sit in the stone bench around a tree kept (if you get luckly for a seat). Would be difficult if you are holding any hot items.
Parking - none, have to park elsewhere on the roadside or paid parking available in nearby areas
Service - is ok, chats/pav arrived quickly, for Sandwich, has to remind once
Food - Tasty is ok-ish, Tried few chats, vada pav, sandwich, etc - nothing specific stands out.
Prices - are reasonable for the quality and quantity.
Would be a ok place for a quick snack on the road while in...
Read moreWe are from chennai. My son took us here for having pav bhaji & pani puri. Ambiance was good. Pani puri was ok, NOT a wow. Behaviour of staff need to be looked into. Yes, both pani puri and pav bhaji personnels were rude. For pani puri they did not give onions. When asked he rudely said, if you want onions get it from pav bhaji counter. Pav bhaji counter person frowned his face and gave little. One person asked for another sukha puri and your staff happily gave another one. Since it was tasty I asked for one more. He flatly refused. I confronted him saying you entertained that person why not me. He said Parichitwala hai - known person. I again confronted him saying you will break your rules for your known person and he started avoiding me. I did not want to escalate this silly problem, but management needs to educate their staff. There are many better panipuri outlets than this. Better to try...
