Nestled in the heart of JP nagar this is the place for all caffeine die hards. Benki Coffee is actually a part of Benki Brewing Tools, which is actually a school for baristas. They train for companies such as Starbucks and the like. Benki are also one of the very few places in India who are accredited by the world coffee association to grade coffee in India. They supply equipment and beans to well reputed places such as Blue Tokai, Third Wave coffee etc. Now coming to the coffee store part of Benki, it was meant to be a place of experience and hence there are no seating spots or such, there is plenty of space to stand and have a talk over an amazing cup of coffee. They use some of the highest grade of beans sourced mainly from Sakleshpur and there is no added chicory or any other adulterant, just pure coffee and that is just how I like my coffee. One of my most favourite drinks here is their cold brew, the standard cold brew and litchi flavour. The litchi flavour is surprisingly amazing. Be warned the cold brew has quite a high caffeine content and I would not recommend it late evening if you want any hope of sleeping at night, ask me how I know. All other drinks are freshly ground beans and brewed right in front of you. The Saffron latte is my other all time favourites.
Since they are one of the primary sources of beans and equipment the prices are much lower compared to other boutique coffee shops and the taste is much preferable as well. A win win for the customer I would say. Benki also imports and distributes other coffee equipment in India, for example Chemex brewers, they also design and manufacture their own brewing tools in India.
On the whole I would highly recommend you visit when ever you are around. Parking on the main road might be bit of a challenge, but definitely available in cross roads nearby. Rating breakdown: Overall 5/5 Price 5/5 Taste 5/5 Ambiance...

Went there on the wednesday 27th April at 3 pm . There were no people and ordered cappuccino which is Rs 80 . They give freshly roasted been and ground them and use that powder and use it for making coffee . They use only Arabica beans and hence coffee may be slightly bitter ( but this should not be a problem) but the quality and the flavour of the coffee was very good . But it was lukewarm. They serve only take away. The place had a lot of flies as the transformer post near people have thrown all kind of food waste . Have informed the peopel in the shop to keep the place clean . Trust they would try to get it cleaned otherwise it is full of flies and would think twice visit next time
But it is very hood quality and almost half the price compared to others for coffee freshly grounded and good beans and it is...
