It was RCB finale match and I had made reservation through Google (proof attached). When I arrived at 7:20pm, I was informed by receptionist that they dont accept Google reservation!? But asked me to go for screening in 2nd floor nevertheless.
Almost all tables were empty (photo attached) and the table right in front of projector was occupied by very tall customer and we were unable to watch match. So we requested to shift us to the empty table and the MANAGER RUDELY replied that its for reserved customers and he cannot change seats since it was 4seater empty table while we were just two.
Full one hour passes - All those empty seats are still empty, 1hour match was done by 8:30, my husband again requested why cant we shift to empty tables for better view since nobody has turned up from an hour in those tables. Yet again manager refused.
At 8:45pm, a guy casually walked in and asked the manager who was standing beside us if there was any empty table and they are just a couple of 2 people - Manager immediately split the same 4seater table in the front with best view and gave it to that “walk-in” person while we, who came with prior reservation were awestruck at this!
I was extremely disappointed- My husband literally stood for full 1st innings and watched match! Manager was clearly incompetent and neither bothered to apologise when we questioned how he gave seat to walk-in while we kept requesting - They clearly do not know how to manage the tables!
Recommendation to Maya management - 1.It is common sense to put elongated bar stool in corners if you give table right in front of projector to customers - you are advertising openly everywhere that you screen cricket matches! What is the point in keeping small chairs and tables at corner when customer cant even see the screen! Heard of “sound amplifiers”!? Volume of the match was kept at lowest. There was no extra sound box kept and the sound from just projector clearly wasnt audible at all! The entire environment seemed dull because nobody could hear cricket commentary...

The ambiance is rustic and modern. The place is surrounded by plants and trees and therefore there were few mosquitoes flying around.
We wanted to try the Dimsums but to our surprise the chef making these dumplings was out and hence dumplings were not available.
We ordered the Orange and Arugula salad with walnuts and feta cheese. The salad was good but the quantity was very less. Next we had the Paneer Popcorns. These are crispy crouquetes of paneer deep fried until crispy. The batter was spicy with a peri peri mix even though we asked for no spicy element to be added. It was served with guess what, peri peri mayo. The poppers were spicy even without their regular peri peri sprinkle. The Toit Tint n Wit was chilled to perfection and tasted fantastic.
The Palak stuffed Paneer grilled dish was again way too spicy. The marination had tons of chillies and it was intolerable. Not sure but the quantity of chillies and peri peri powder is just too much in both the dishes. This was served with salad and green chutney. It was again topped with a sprinkle for Peri Peri masala.
The Alfredo Pasta came as a relief but again the quantity was very less. The taste was good with a few pieces of broccoli, zucchini, bell peppers and olives. It was served with a piece of garlic bread.
Lastly we had the Portugese Saw Dust. This is made with whipped cream along with condensed milk. This foam is then sprinkled with biscuity crumble, dry fruits and chocolate dust. The dessert was just too sweet for my palate. It was like putting a spoonful of sugar with every bite.
Overall a disappointing feast at Maya. It didn't live up to its hype. Quantity too less and spices too high!! Stop using so much of peri...
