Purchased 2 items: 1 plate normal idli 1 plate butter idli Prices 100rs and 140rs respectively So if you're paying 140rs for butter idli you expect something better than normal idli. But instead they gave me 4 normal idli's and 2 amul chiplets which is 7rs in market but I'm sure they must be lower for B2B sale around 5-6rs per chiplet. So I'm supposed to apply the butter myself to the idli and make it butter idli. Next time they going to give puddi and ghee separately for PUDI IDLI ? 100rs + 5-6rs per chiplet = 112rs ? Then why charge 140rs ? What's the logic ? At least charge 120rs ? This is absurd and unreal. And the best part was the amul chiplet was packed with hot idli so it got melted by the time it got home. The butter was in absolutely liquid state and when opened it spilled all over the place. And finally I ate normal idli inspite of paying 140rs

Ah, the classic Thatte Idlis. How can you go wrong with this. As soft Idlis as it can get and you will not be disappointed. You can just expect quality here and you will get it. Tip : Please go there as early as possible when it opens. If you reach late, highly likely you'll end up not getting some things like the sambar or vadas. Chutneys were a bit on the proper spicy side, so be advised. Cons that can be improved (and why I could not give a 5 star rating) : No place for sitting at all, understaffed store - just 2 people having to work on loads of orders, and hence the delay in serving.

It is an awesome place for breakfast and dinner on the go. They hv utilised the limited space on a reasonably busy intersection to perfection. Every thing from service and billing counter, hand wash, drinking water to waste disposal is so well planned. Their idlis and two chutny varieties are the best i can think of in the locality. Their vadas are hot, crispy and yummy. I have even packed them to treat my colleagues. They dont have place for sitting and its very common to see a q f people waiting to get their hands on the piping hot idlis. They also serve a few other dishes like karabath, bisibelabath, lemon rice.

My only grouse is they dont serve coffee. A cup of hot filter coffee would be an ideal combination for the...

Unfortunately there is no zero star .. this restaurant served rotten food to us. The chutney was rotten the idly was stinking the vada was half baked. I would prefer to have a road side food which is more reliable and provides better quality than this restaurant. Guys my humble request is please don't pay to eat rotten food and spoil your health . These guys are inhuman who take money and serve rotten food they should be hanged .

To add to this comment because my entire family we faced stomach upset including my daughter 2ho is 5 years old .. so thanks Brahmins tatte idly for screwing our valuable weekend .
