Mystery Owl Escape Rooms — Attraction in Bengaluru

I was first exposed to this concept in Paris where out of curiosity I tried it out and I fell in love with it instantly . After that I have been twice to the escape rooms in koramangala which were at par with my previous experience. The Mystery Junkies outlet @ New Bel road takes the concept to a whole new level with meticulous planning and well laid out rooms with strategic clues and props which ensures that your brain gets a good workout . Each room has a different story behind it and there are 5 such uniquely planned rooms constructed to the utmost perfection to make the whole experience as entertaining as possible . So the five rooms Basement , Rogue spy , Unstoppable, space station and university of witchcraft and wizardry. each room with its own set of hidden surprises and puzzles which leave u baffled every single time. I have tried out 3 and I have enjoyed each and every one of them thoroughly . The basement to begin off with has characters from movies like Annabelle , chucky , etc .. it can tend to be a tad scary for fainthearted people (myself😜) but the puzzles and clues to be found and solved are a proof of the ingenious planning that the owners have put into it . Rogue spy with a beautiful back story is a slightly harder room but ensures that you and your friends work together as a team and rack your brains to solve the clues which at times seem impossible but turn out be simple yet baffling at the same time . Unstoppable which is pretty much the best I have tried so far leaves me at a loss for words to describe how beautifully and realistically it has been planned .. I really would like to talk more about it but I dont intend to spoil the fun for others . I urge you to definitely try this immersive experience ASAP . Mr.Rupert one of the owners really makes the experience a bit more lovable with his friendly attitude. To me it feels like the people at mystery junkies have set really high standards for anyone who aims to design escape rooms in the future . Escape rooms are one of a kind real time experience for people who like thrillers/ mysteries/suspense.

This is my second time visiting Mystery owl. The first time we played basement and this time around it was witchcraft and wizardry... both were good and moderately challenging.

The people who joined me both times were new to escape rooms and they thoroughly enjoyed the games...

These are some of the questions they had as first timers:

Will there be jump scares? A: No, this is an escape room game, nothing is made to scare you, basically there wont be anyone inside to scare you. You just have to solve series of puzzles which inturn lead you to the next clue and you will eventually break out or escape from the room.

Will I feel claustrophobic inside? A: You will be put into a room and locked from outside, the lighting can be dim, there will be enough ventilation though, if this makes you uncomfortable, you can always let them know, there are microphones (I guess) and cameras (for sure). (Mobile phones, smart watches are not allowed inside the rooms. ) So, that's something you can consider before choosing to play. Also, you will be sent along with your group, so, you may want to consider that part too..

You will be given a detailed explanation about your game by the host before you are sent inside, so you will have a fair idea of what to expect.

I always enjoy solving mysteries and will visit again to play the remaining games at mystery owl.. with yet another set of people... :)

P.S.: Please go with a slot booked! As each game is played ideally for 1 hour, you will end up waiting for 1 hour if all rooms are occupied. Also reach the place a lil earlier than the booked slot to accommodate the survey form you will be asked to fill in.

I first tried this whole concept of mystery rooms at escape rooms indiranagar and the experience there was pretty okay but here at Myster junkies @ New Bel road, the standards have just been taken to a way higher standard.There was five rooms here namely basement,rogue spy, unstoppable, wizards of witchcraft and space station disaster of which I'm done with basement ,rogue spy and unstoppable. Me and my friend started with the basement which was a horror based escape room which can give u a few jumpscares xD but at the same thing ,the fun you'll have just cannot be described. The next one I did was rogue spy which was harder than the basement along with a better story line as well. The last one I did was the unstoppable which was by far the best I've seen i can't imagine the amount of thinking that must've gone into making that, the best story line and the most interesting clues so far. So guys! Mystery junkies is a must go place for all of u guys of every age group to actually use your brains like never before, gives your thinking abilities a great recharge. One of the owners Mr.Rupert is an amazing person and he's really fun. They way he briefs and gives hints multiplies the quality of the experience. I want to say a lot xD but that would be like ruining the experience of the people who want...
