California Burrito Mexican Kitchen @ HSR — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The food quality here is very good. I can recommend it for the food. That said I am giving 1 star due to staff's lack of honesty. I had two bad incidences

I stay near this outlet. I had zomato Gold which give 1+1 in dine-in. So I thought if they allow me for takeaway using Zomato Gold I will takeit, else I will dine there. After arriving there I clearly asked the person at the payment counter, can I takeaway the food using Zomato gold. Else I will dine there. And he replied yes. Now at the time of payment he said he cannot apply the Zomato Gold as it is not applicable for take away.

The second incident is similar related to Zomato Gold only. I never knew Zomato gold is not applicable during festive season. When I reached this outlet, I asked the person I need two rice bowl ad I will use Zomato Gold. Let me make the payment. The person at the payment counter humbly said, Sir please have your food, later you can pay. So after having my food, when I went for payment, what I see Zomato Gold is not applicable.

Food is good but I am expecting honesty...

I have been regularly eating salad bowl (regular, maxican paneer, spicy, with optional guacamole) at the HSR branch over last few months..

I notice that the quantity is gradually becoming less and less. I mentioned it to the staff also. Maxican paneer - a very small quantity was left in the bowl at the counter. The waiter (Mr Diwas) tried to adjust within that. When I protested he got some and added. Why cringe.. when we pay so much money (₹400+ including taxes)????

I hope the management looks into the matter and addresses it ASAP. Else you will lose a loyal customer.

It had been a while since I have had a bowl from California Burrito. My hubby got one for us from the HSR outlet and I loved it ( we had initially thought of sharing it as we didn't prefer to eat a lot for dinner) and had asked my husband to taste it(as he was driving) and get one for himself if he liked it ( I didn't want to share mine anymore😌). He tasted it and said he would get one for himself too from another outlet on our way home . However, before we reached the outlet he said that he was feeling uneasy after trying it and so didn't get it. As soon as I reached home I got loose motions and had multiple episodes since then along with severe vomiting and fever. He was saved from my plight as he didn't get one for himself. We have had food from California Burrito umpteen times and never had any issue before. Request the management to look into it and keep hygiene a priority ..or else you would loose...
