California Burrito Mexican Kitchen @ Whitefield — Restaurant in Bengaluru

We recently visited the California Burrito outlet in Whitefield, and it turned out to be a really good experience. The place had a nice, modern vibe with clean interiors and a simple yet fresh setup. The self-service system was easy and quick — you place your order at the counter, make the payment, and then collect your food once it’s ready. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring everything moved smoothly even during the rush hours. We tried their 7 Layer Veg Taco, Chipotle Potato Taco, Chicken Taco, and Peri Peri Potato Rice Bowl. Every item felt freshly prepared, with vibrant flavors and the right amount of seasoning. The tacos were crisp and flavorful, each with its own unique taste — the 7 Layer Veg Taco was packed with fresh veggies and sauces, while the Chicken Taco had that perfect smoky and spicy balance. The Peri Peri Potato Rice Bowl was a surprise favorite — spicy, filling, and bursting with flavor. Overall, the experience was satisfying — great taste, quick service, and a pleasant ambiance. Horrible experience here. The food tastes below averaged. Taco bell. The sauces lack taste, the drinks are watery and loaded with sugar. Overall, this is just another fancy place lacking the only thing it serves- food. We took chicken burrito bowl, chipotle chicken taco in soft shell. The shell became hard when it arrived or was it already hard, i have no idea. Lacked flavour, wilted lettuce made it worse. The burrito bowl lacked flavour at all. Imagine coming to a mexican place and food has no flavour. The staff was very stingy when it came to putting chicken or sour cream and legit gave peanuts but ok. I ordered a sprite and used zomato tonpay , staff didnt let me do it , he said pay in full, he was rude. If there is a booking for discount, why not let the customer use it? If you cannot, write it on zomato app or the outlet. It also added fuel to the fire when The food gave us upset stomach!! Overall, this place...

Regular CB, however the taste was not as good as normally we get at CB. Ordered Veg Rice Bowl, Hebbanaro Burrito and Regular Veg Burrito with Quessadila. Both Burrito and Rice Bowl was Bland in taste, had requested for a little sauce, he said it will be charged separately, don’t know after spending 300+ for a rice bowl why to pay extra for a regular sauce, especially when it was not tasting good.
