Visited Salt Siddapura on 18th April as one of my friends wanted to try it out. We made a reservation for 8 people. The booking process was smooth, and the staff was polite during the follow-ups and honored our request for a specific seating arrangement. So far, so good.
We reached on time and were seated promptly. They served complimentary papad with chutney and lit a candle, which was a nice touch—until the real experience began.
Unfortunately, the ACs weren't working properly. Despite our request to reduce the temperature, the place remained uncomfortably warm. Eventually, we asked to be moved outside. While they did accommodate us, the outdoor setup was quite poor—with two mismatched tables and an uneven dining surface. On top of that, there were mosquitoes, and to our shock, one of the drinks had a fly in it.
The manager came over, explained that there was an MCB fault, and offered aam panna as a complimentary drink. However, instead of asking if we’d like it, he insisted we consume it since it was “already prepared”—which felt pushy and unwelcome.
Food-wise, it was mostly a letdown.
The chicken soup had pieces of chicken liver in it, which was unexpected and off-putting.
The mutton kebab was dry and lacked flavor.
The only dishes I liked were the palak dahi chaat and garlic naan. Everything else felt like a waste of money.
Service was also subpar, with long waits and a general lack of attentiveness.
Honestly, I’m not sure how the restaurant has such positive reviews—either they’re fabricated or based on a completely different standard. Throwing in complimentary items doesn’t make up for poor service and bad food.
Verdict: I would not recommend Salt Siddapura to anyone. It’s...
Read moreThis restaurant is in Miraya rose with expensive paid parking. You need to go up 1 floor and there are tables in balcony/open area then there are tables inside. We sat inside as we went there for lunch. Restaurant is clean, airy, smelling and looking good. If you planning to order several dishes and share between people then the tables are not meant for that. That was our next challenge. The table are good for 4 with their respective plates and nothing more. All our orders were vegetarian items. For starters we ordered Hara bara kebab and Quinoa tikki. Kebab was smelling old and the panner inside was bit sour. Tikki wasnt great either. We immediately updated the waiter about it but received no response. Meloni Tarkari was superb. Best dish in our experience. Dal Makhani was tasting ok but not creamy. Dal needs to cook little bit more and it needs atleast some cream/butter in it. But it wasnt bad, it was average. Other dishes were average at the best. We tried after reading all the good reviews but it turned out to be disappointing...

The inside had the bar and around it the furniture was placed. Though the seating capacity inside is limited. *Maanash was helpful in guiding us through the menu. He and his staff were on their toes and ever smiling and cordial. Food was served piping hot and the food here never fails my taste buds. The portions look small and are deceptive to the eye but the end result is different😋. 2024/9..42 ✨🥂⭐ Lunch with a friend.. but this time we sat inside,,as they did not have too many guests.. we decided on Mango masala drink and a veg Bento box. We were served piping hot peppery tomato soup, tandoori rotis and our bento box consisting of rice, dal, veggies, paneer , potato fry and mint chutney, and gulab jamuns. They were yum and very filling. As mentioned earlier the portions look deceptive... 2024/12.. 48✨🥂☀️ Family lunch.. which we as tasty and...
