Updated review
01/11 - Went again, gave this place another chance but i have to reduce a star now as out of the 6 items we ordered, 3 were below average , while other 3 were good. Don't think a restaurant can become favourite when their food is hit or miss and the chef literally keeps saying this is how it's made. Staff takes feedback but isn't welcoming at all and can't say if they passed my feedback or not.
So, went yesterday and ordered 2 bubble teas - taiwanese bubble tea and taro bubble tea. Taiwanese was good but taro one literally tasted like vanilla ice cream shake, not even sure if it was real taro roots or purple colour there.
Had verona mushrooms and korean chicken appetizer. Mushrooms one was really good but korean chicken was pretty average.
Also got alfredo pasta and wok and smoke platter. Again pasta was great BUT platter (priced at 380rs) was one of the worst dishes we have ever had - Too much ketchup in this chinese food item and the dish wasnt stir fried as given in description. The sauce was like a gravy, real food didn't match the description and even after getting it replaced once (when the chef didn't change anything), the dish was below average.
Don't think now I want to give this place another try as the expérience can't be 50-50 all the time. If the menu is extensive, all items must be good so pls don't compromise on that and the staff really needs to be more smiling and welcoming.
19/07 - the atmosphere is lovely however service is a little slow and the food (coincidentally both the main course items we ordered) was okayish. We got a cold coffee boba which was good but not cold at all so had to get ice, 2 chicken steak (one fried one and one grilled one). In both the steaks, the sauce was very thick and it literally become a thick paste on pouring it on the chicken so much so that you could taste the thickening agent in the sauce i.e. flour of some kind. The fried chicken was very dry as it wasn't coated with bread crumbs.. chicken breast tends to get dry if overcooked and that's what happened. It was so difficult to even cut it with the knife and chewing took ages.. When i gave this feedback, I was told that the chef says it's like this only so ummm.. okay.. they said they can replace and give the same chicken. They did and it was again the same issue.. The accompaniments with the chicken were good so no complaints there. We also ordered garlic bread which tasted nice. Overall, okayish experience but i would still give 3 stars to them for trying and bcos the ambience is good. Want to go again n try other items to...
Read moreCasa Fresco in HSR Layout, Bengaluru is a beautiful cafe with a very cosy ambiance and serves some delicious food. The place has a good foot fall on a Friday evening, the parking for a four wheeler is pretty tough at times though. The staff here are very friendly, and the service is super fast as well.
A cup of Belgian Hot Chocolate was the perfect way to start off the evening. Thick, nice, and the perfect chocolatey texture, this sure was a good start for us at Casa Fresco.
Cold Coffee was a bit overwhelming with the taste of strong coffee, but with the mix of vanilla ice cream it seemed to have a nice balance that we could enjoy.
Chicken Steamed Momos was the perfect starter on a rainy evening. The meat inside was cooked to perfection with a slight hint of spiciness as well. The chutney provided along with the momos was a beautiful combo waiting to happen.
Masala Maggi was bit of a let down because we could not taste any masala, it was more like a plain maggi with veggies. Even though the maggi was cooked perfectly, the missing masala could have made all the difference.
Grilled Chicken Steak with peri peri sauce was mesmerizing. The peri peri sauce was super spicy and just what the meat needs. The potato mash was soft and gooey, while the veggies provided along with the steak were fresh as well.
The Peri Rooster Burger was the highlight of our evening at Casa Fresco. This massive burger with a minced grilled chicken patty with peri peri seasoning and mustard was terrific. If you are a fan of burgers then do try this out on your next visit to Casa Fresco.
Overall we had a great evening and we loved every aspect of our time at Casa Fresco. You can find them at 73, 7th Cross, 27th Main Road, Sector 1, HSR, Bangalore

Read moreBeen there. Not too difficult to find out. Great ambiance. Lovely outside seating which I prefer usually with the pleasant weather in Bangalore.
Service - there were literally 3 to 4 waiters both male and female standing near the counter with a clueless face. We ordered some hot water to drink as it was a bit cold outside and my throat was already hurting, but that girl first of all forgot to bring it totally. We waited for 10-15 mins before I called her again and told her which is then they brought it but after delegating it to someone else. Poor management and lack of interest or cluelessness.
The starter that my friend has ordered while waiting for me till I reach, even that wasn't served till I had reached. It was served 10-15 mins after I reached. And it was just one potato-based starter. Main dish might have come in a timely way mostly as we tried their pizza. Basically the service is very slow and they really need to work on this. Although when going there for a long chit chat, this wouldn't be much of a problem.
Food - The potato-based starter (don't recall the name) was very oily. Had to use tissues at our end to take out the excess oil, the taste was okay okay. The chutney served along with it made it bearable to eat.
The pizza was delicious and hot. I enjoyed having it. It had a thin crust and fresh toppings.
The total cost that we paid for a Tea, one starter and a Pizza was somewhere around 800-850.
Overall a good cafe with overall average food quality for nearby people to hang out either if they've a lot of "time" to spend or won't be bothered with the slow service, as I don't think the cafe owner or the management team would read people's reviews and suggestions and then improve themselves. Haha Highly unlikely. So yeah that's...
