Mahalakshmi Sweets in HSR Layout is a delightful place to indulge in authentic Kannada special sweets. As a person with roots in Kerala, I was curious to explore their offerings, and I must say, their sweets have left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
The highlight of Mahalakshmi Sweets is undoubtedly the range of traditional Kannada sweets they offer. From the classic Mysore Pak and Dharwad Peda to unique treats like Obbattu (Holige/Puran Poli), their selection captures the essence of Karnataka's rich culinary heritage.
The establishment maintains a high level of cleanliness, ensuring that the sweets are prepared and served with utmost hygiene. This attention to detail reflects their commitment to delivering quality products to their customers.
While the variety of sweets is impressive, it's worth mentioning that the seating area is limited. Unfortunately, they don't have a large seating area for guests to sit and enjoy their treats. As for the pricing, some items might be slightly expensive compared to other sweet shops. However, the genuine taste and the effort to preserve the authenticity of Kannada sweets make it a...
Read moreI have been a regular customer to Mahalakshmi sweets HSR layout bangalore branch. It used to be very clean and hygienic in the beginning and employees were happy to give service, engaging with the customers.Nowadays there's no cleanliness, dirty dustbins are kept at the entrance of the shop, which smells very bad and sometimes would have fallen and everything would have fallen at the entrance of the shop itself. Lots of flies sitting on the sweets. They are not cleaning the counters properly. Sweets also smell stale and the milk sweets are almost spoiled most of the time. Employees are very negligent, they don't attend to the customers properly, and do not care about the freshness of the sweets. Shop is very dirty all the time, no hygiene is maintained. Please maintain the standards of the brand, it is such a good brand in Mysore and people are emotionally attached to it, try to...

The flavor was way too sugary, and cold stored, the sweets didn’t have that homemade feel that I was hoping for. The presentation wasn’t great either—everything looked a bit unappetizing.
To top it off, the staff didn’t seem too concerned when I mentioned my disappointment. It’s safe to say I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Not recommended if you're looking for...
