Chaayos gives you a reason to try your chai your style even if you aren't a tea person! But even if you aren't, these winters in Bengaluru just got better with the Gur wali chai (Jaggery infused tea)! The flavours are so unique, and replacing white sugar for jaggery is truly much healthier!
Now coming to the food, I'd love to start by saying that they've exceeded mt expectations only too well. First, the chilli cheese toast - it was loaded with toppings other than chilli and cheese that made it slightly heavy and a good meal. The 2 min maggi sandwich - indeed came to my table in 2 minutes which is a brilliant surprise However they put mayonnaise in the same as a spread for the bread so think before you order. Then there is chicken papdi chaat - flaky crispy disks topped with a spicy semi gravy with chunks of chicken topped with some tomatoes and jalapneo perfectly paired with my Peach iced tea. To end with, I had the open keema parantha - it's basically a malabar parota crisp fried and topped with a dry topping of minced chicken. All in all, the ambience is as good as the warm welcome...
Read moreWent here for the second time two days back and was absolutely shocked at the behaviour of the girl working there. Being pregnant and diabetic i asked her for a lemon iced tea with little sugar and she rolled her eyes at me. I dint bother first. I got the iced tea and it had too less sugar so i went and requested to put little sugar this time and she did that annoyed slow blinking eyes at me this time and my husband noticed. I was talking in hindi so she started talking in kannada to the other guy working there telling him ‘log dimaag kharab karte hai’ on our face. We were standing right there. My husband then told her not to take orders if she is frustrated and that its not the way you behave with people. I think when you work in a place like that you should have some behaviour training and you learn how to treat the customers atleast. Rolling eyes, slow blinking, making faces, not responding. These are not very nice things to do. I thought i am dealing with some spoilt teenager. Such a disgrace for her...
Read moreChaayos has recently entered bangalore and have expanded rapidly in bangalore. I visited this outlet to try out their tea or chaay as their name suggests. They have a huge variety of beverages, just not tea. They also have unique and good variety of dishes. I tried the gur wali chai which is a good option as it contains jaggery with a lightly flavoured chai and it is served in clay moulded glasses. In food I tried the papdi crunches in chicken which is served like a chaat and is also available in options of paneer. Then I tried the kheema pav which contains spicy chicken kheema in a pav. Then I had the bun omlette which is very well flavoured. Then I also tried the chilli cheese toast which is good but not the best. Then I had the loaded open paratha which is available in chicken and paneer options. I had the chicken loaded paratha which is served like a pizza with paratha base and kheema on top. Overall it was an amazing experience here. Do...
