A late lunch.
Had always been watching food wars(anime ref) and loved the japnese cuisine, always wanted to try them and this place popped up!
A beautiful small restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating, the outdoor seating outlooks the Orion Mall Lake. The indoor seating has a view of an open sushi kitchen and a bar.
The staff is well trained and really polite.
We ordered, mushroom sushi, chicken teriyaki ramen, chicken teriyaki BAO buns, and sticky veg fried rice. For mocktails we tried the musky water and the mango boba Thai tea. We finished it off with a dorayaki pancake.
Cost of ramen is approx 600. Cost of sushi is approx 100 /piece Cost of BAO approx 2 for 400 Dine out gives you 20% off please use (For 2 you would be spending around 3k, service charge is around 10% )
For more details please read on! When asked if the chicken is halal the waiter was knowledge about what halal was and agreed, but i could not see any certificate so I was not a 100% sure. Please ask for a certificate and an explanation from them if you really want to confirm if it's halal
The food was really delicious, it was a vibrant mixture of different flavours, the Sushi was crispy and yum with the wasabi and pickled ginger. The ramen was okay(basically rasam on steroids), it had a mix of many greens and seaweeds. The chicken was not that good but ironically the egg was amazingly soft and tasteful. Moving on to the BAO OMG!!, these were a work of art. The crisp chicken with a spicy sauce and an extremely soft outer layer with microgreens, a kiss of nature. I highly recommend trying the BAOs. The sticky fried rice was like normal fried rice on steroids again, it just makes it easier for you to eat it with chopsticks 🌝. The mocktails were amazing but a little expensive for the quantity you get, musky water was a refreshing flavour of musk melon. The mango boba Thai drink was exactly like a mango milk shake with chewy boba, I loved it because I love mangoes.
We ended it with the special dora cake :). It's not like what we see on tele, it was a creamy white sauce(burnt caramel taste) with cashews sandwiched between 2 pancakes drizzled with white sause and chocolate sause.
A really good experience of Japanese cuisine, I didn't get the opportunity to try the other dishes from the menu so I'm planning to...

I recently visited YouMee with a group of friends and we ordered the following dishes:
Lotus stem: This was a refreshing and light dish. The lotus stem was thinly sliced and stir-fried with vegetables and a light sauce.
Prawn tempura roll: This was a delicious and crispy roll. The prawns were perfectly cooked and the tempura batter was light and airy.
Jasmine tea: This was a fragrant and flavorful tea. It was the perfect way to cleanse the palate after the rich flavors of the other dishes.
We all enjoyed our meals at YouMee. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was lively. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Pan-Asian meal in Bengaluru.

Read moreYouMee is on my top Pan Asian cuisine restaurant in town and it's a must visit place to try some amazing lip smacking Ramen noodles and of course lots of other dishes too. ~The ambiance is beautiful cause it opens up to the beautiful outdoor space of Orion mall and the view of WTC and apartment with the water space. ~The whole crew are very chill and courteous, service was super quick and would love to mentioned a server name Tung cause he is very sincere, fun, amazing hospitality by him in particular. ~Well, coming to their delectable Ramen bowls, I have to say my favourite was their Pork Ribs Ramen cause the meat was so tender, off the bone and the soupy noodles with flavours of bamboo shoot and rendang curry is just a delight to my palate and satisfying. ~If you're into chicken and you love spice, then the spicy chicken ramen which consists of umami flavours from miso broth and exotic vegetables will activate your sense organs blissfully. ~Hangon, the vegetarian peeps can still cherish their ramen bowls with healthy bowl of Chinese cabbage, pok choy, carrots, peas and tofu which is pretty healthy and you won't feel guilty at all. ~In beverages you must give it a try for the Asian swirls, a very refreshing drink and light. However, if you are into hot chocolate then You Mee cocoa is to die for. ~Last but not the least, The coconut and palm jaggery pudding is delicious, sweet but not overpowering and you can definitely taste the flavours of coconut milk, cinnamon powder, eggs and I'm sure you would love it.
