Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba in Yeshwanthpur delivers a truly authentic North Indian dining experience, perfect for anyone craving rich flavors and a vibrant dhaba-style atmosphere. Here’s why this spot stands out for chicken starters, paneer, garlic naan, chicken butter masala, and kadai mushroom:
Ambience and Service
The restaurant recreates the classic highway dhaba vibe with rustic decor and comfortable seating, making it ideal for families and groups. The staff is consistently polite, attentive, and quick, ensuring that even on busy weekends, orders are served promptly and diners feel well taken care of.
Chicken Starters
The chicken starters, especially the Chicken Sawariya Kebab, are a highlight. Marinated with mint and yogurt, the kebabs are juicy, tender, and packed with flavor—so soft they melt in your mouth. These are highly recommended for anyone who enjoys well-spiced, perfectly cooked chicken.
Paneer Dishes
Paneer lovers will not be disappointed. The paneer is always fresh and soft, with dishes like Paneer Tikka Masala standing out for their rich, creamy gravies and balanced spices. The preparation brings out the authentic North Indian flavors, making each bite satisfying.
Garlic Naan
The garlic naan here is often described as the best in the city—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and generously topped with fresh garlic. It pairs wonderfully with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian gravies, soaking up every bit of the delicious sauces.
Chicken Butter Masala
The Chicken Butter Masala is a must-try, featuring a creamy, luscious gravy with succulent pieces of chicken. The balance of spices and the richness of the sauce make it a crowd favorite, and it’s perfect for mopping up with their hot naans.
Kadai Mushroom
Vegetarians will appreciate the Kadai Mushroom, which is cooked with fresh mushrooms and a robust blend of spices. The dish is flavorful, aromatic, and a great option for those looking for something hearty and satisfying.
Value and Overall Experience
Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable, making it easy to enjoy a full meal without breaking the bank. The restaurant’s popularity means there might be a short wait, especially on weekends, but the quality of food and experience make it well worth it.
“The food was absolutely divine, with each dish crafted to perfection and bursting with authentic North flavours. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and succulent, while the tandoori dishes were beautifully charred. Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba is a dhaba-themed restaurant that brings the flavors of North India alive with its rich, spicy, and authentic food. It’s a great spot for lovers of robust North Indian cuisine, offering dishes full of bold spices and traditional depth.
We were impressed by the flavorful spread—especially the Paneer Labbedar and Baby corn Manchurian. QThe food was delicious, though slightly on the spicier side. Portions, particularly for the curries, were small and better suited for two people. The staff was friendly and courteous, even suggesting some of their specialties which turned out to be excellent picks. Service overall was prompt and hospitable.
The ambience is casual with a rustic, dhaba-style setup—perfect for family outings or relaxed meals with friends. The traditional khat (charpoy) seating and earthy décor enhance the authenticity and charm. However, a few aspects of the ambience could be improved. The charpoy seating becomes uncomfortable for longer meals, and the lack of proper ventilation, especially indoors, makes it a bit stuffy—more so when you're already dealing with spicy food. The use of metal plates and basic fans, while in theme, could use a bit more polish and comfort.
Despite a few areas of improvement, Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba remains a solid choice for those seeking hearty, spicy North Indian fare in a traditional setting. If you enjoy rustic vibes and bold flavors, this place won’t disappoint. Just be prepared for some heat—both on your plate...

Previous review: My experience at Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba in Mahalakshmi Layout was delightful! Located conveniently on the first floor above Mansions, the restaurant offers a cozy ambiance perfect for a casual dining experience.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm hospitality and even treated to a delicious sweet, setting a pleasant tone for our meal. Although the lighting was a bit dim, the staff's friendly demeanor brightened up the atmosphere.
We indulged in some classic North Indian dishes, including Shahi Paneer and Chicken Tikka, along with naan and roti. The Shahi Paneer was exceptionally soft, though the cashew-heavy gravy leaned towards the sweeter side, resembling a dessert more than a main course. However, the generous portion of paneer compensated for it. The Chicken Tikka, while not exactly traditional in flavor, was rich and well-marinated, with tender chicken pieces.
The naan and roti were freshly prepared and served piping hot, complementing the flavorful dishes perfectly. The kulhad lassi was refreshing but fairly standard.
Overall, I would definitely visit Chulha Chauki Da Dhaba again for its inviting ambiance, hospitable service, and satisfying food. It's a great spot for a casual meal with...
