We went to Chung wah, near Arekere Gate, Bannerghatta Road. It was family dinner and we found other families also having dinner in weekend. The atmosphere inside is not bad and the waiters are decent enough. But they lacks some basic training. Sometimes they don't know about the available dishes! The price of most foods are cheap in comparison to some other restaurants in Bangalore. But I must say here, the food quality is not up to the mark. We were 6 people (3 men and 3 ladies) and the total dinner bill was around 2.2k. What I didn't like here personally, the price of chicken momo. Each piece costs around Rs. 30+ and it was not worth. For some food they take longer time to server. It happened with us. For one plate steamed momo, we waited around 20 minutes. So before you order something, check the serving time with them. You can book a table there. But make sure you are reaching there on or before time. We were 6 minutes late and the table was given to some other people. And no staff in the floor had a single clue - why it was given to someone else. Upon requesting the manager again and wait for 10-15 mins they arranged another...
Read moreWe recently visited Chung Wah on a Sunday afternoon and were instantly impressed by the beautiful ambience. The space is elegant yet relaxed — just the right mix for a good meal with family or friends.
The all-Chinese menu has something for everyone, and the staff were super friendly in guiding us through the veg options. We started with Veg Spring Rolls and another veg-stuffed starter — both were crispy, tasty, and full of flavour.
The noodles were a big hit, especially with the kids! Served with chopsticks and their signature sauces, it felt authentic and fun. We really appreciated how the staff made it less spicy on request — such a thoughtful touch for families with little ones.
And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get better, the Fried Ice-Cream arrived. It was next-level delicious — hot and crispy on the outside, cold and creamy inside. A perfect end to the meal!
Even with a full crowd, their service was smooth, fast, and cheerful — no long waits or confusion.
If you’re looking for tasty Chinese food in a lovely setting, with great service and a kid-friendly approach, Chung Wah is definitely...
Read moreI have been here twice and can't wait to visit again. The pan asian menu offers interesting meal options beyond the done-to-death Manchurian, hakka noodles and fried rice. Take Bibimbap for example, this korean meal bowl is such a hearty meal. Another example is Mee goreng and nasi goreng, authentic Indonesian taste. There are other gems like pot of prosperity and sanpei chicken, and the unforgettable roast garlic chicken clear soup. Every dish I have had is mouthful and memorable. I wonder if there is any this on the menu that the chef doesn't prepare well. And all this variety, laid back ambience and substantial meal portion for such a reasonable price! A must visit. A shout out to the servers who are always prompt and attentive. For lovely food do visit with...
