Delite Chaat House - Harlur — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Kartik Mahina is going on & I was craving outside food but I had to order something veg, so after searching for few pure veg options in Swiggy, I thought of giving Delite Chaat House a try; Although I noticed the prices were showing high, but still I couldn't control & went to order from here; I ordered a Delite Special Sandwich, Sev Khaman Dhokla, Dry Fruits added Dabeli, & Aloo Tikki Chaat; The Price of Delite Special Sandwich was showing some 220Rs., still I thought might be a jumbo bread sandwich, Aloo Tikki Chaat was showing 72 Or something like dat but yes only for 1 aloo tikki, chutney & Sev, Dahi if u order separately by paying extra 5rs., Dry Fruits Dabeli showed 78Rs. & Sev Khaman Dhokla was also something of the same range between 75-85 I don't recall exactly; All these Prices were as per what is showing in Swiggy; After receiving the order, what I saw was a complete disappointment; Because as per the prices charged the food quantity matches to some street style; Very low quantity & you will regret because you wasted money on these; Taste was also not extraordinary or wonderful; If you still don't believe this statement, go ahead & order once, you will realize; I know the time of COVID is going on & offcourse restaurants have to look for a little profit but in this way is not fair; Very high price & food...

Went on Dussehra morning for the traditional 'Fafda-Jalebi' breakfast. The place and people were as un-inviting as possible. the place was filthy and there were so many flies. The attitude of the cashier - who was perhaps a boy who is not even at a legal age to work - was rude. They wouldn't want to give 250 gms, saying that minimum order is 500 gms - and the rates were more than doubled for the day (their own statement - as this is the first - and perhaps last time- I was there) Brought some 'Khandvi' - and they seemed stale and sour-tasting... Chaat house can be visited for evening hangout. you get to choose varieties in Gujarati flavour, we tried pav bhaji which had a little different taste served with extra garlic chutney. Pani puri was missing for mutter in it, else it was good. Dahi papdi chat was great. We wanted to try Dabeli but it was not available. Seating arrangement is good for lower crowd, it has high chairs too. It would be great if it had wash rooms too. I has little parking space infront though its not only for chaat house.
