We went to Falak looking at the reviews like you are doing right now and with the name attached to it of Leela.
But if you are from Bangalore or have been to Bangalore you must have heard or been to Leela Palace and are imagining this to be something like Leela Palace this is not even the L of Leela Palace this is like any other business hotel with just average service but with prices of the Leela brand.
Anyhow, there are some things you except from a 5 star restaurant let it be any that the restaurant is clean and well maintained, the furniture looks clean, the tables are decked out with clean white sheets, the runners are well maintained, the wooden floors must not screech or rather should be carpeted, the staff be well dressed and attentive to your every ask. This is what one expects that the overall ambiance be good and top notch.
What we got was in terms of ambiance:-
2)The white sofas had all kinds of colour spots on them yellow as in sweat and food marks, the black spots for all the grime basically not cleaned properly ever.
3)The Table runners had these white threads popping out all over as if the lint had not been removed ever.
Then came the food:-
1)Fish Tikka which is a must try in Leela all over but here it was over cooked
2)Chicken Tikka which is pretty much good in any hotel under cooked with reddish brown spots in it
Then came the chef who asked us if everything was okay and we told him that the Fish was such and the once we had in Leela Palace was much much better he said “Oh Sir that’s made with Pomfret this is made with Sole fish hence it’s like this but what I’ll do is I’ll get you Zaffrani Chicken instead” the funny part was the chicken tikka we had was Zaffrani Chicken Tikka 😂😂.
Then the service:-
1)We had to ask 4-5 times for a stool to keep a purse, then it was finally brought.
2)The staff kept asking you to place a final order as the kitchen was to close and we had arrived at 2:00 PM and they came 4-5 times saying the last order was at 3:00 which was a little pressing considering we had an hour.
3)We were asked what we wanted for mains without to menu being given to us I mean like get us the menu only then we can let you know right.
4)The person who took our initial order was so frustrated with this job that he almost said it that could you like just get done with your order and leave.
Overall it’s not a very pleasant experience and if you think that this is a Leela level hotel it is not, you can take it for something like a Double Tree Hilton level or a Gateway by Taj level. Also the road to reach the hotel is pathetic hence please plan accordingly.
Personally you must only go here is you get the 40% off through District by Zomato or this is not worth it rather go to Zamavar at Leela Palace in the city which is way better than this, but this is all just my experience and opinion rest is up to you to decided.
Cheers 🍻 A...

If you're on the hunt for an exceptional dining spot in Bangalore, look no further than Falak at Leela Bhartiya City. Recently, my wife and I celebrated her birthday with a lunch at this gem of a restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.
From the moment we stepped into the hotel lobby, we were enveloped in the warmth of Indian culture that Leela properties are renowned for. The restaurant, perched on the 17th floor rooftop, offers three distinct sections: private group dining, air-conditioned seating (a must for summers), and a charming outdoor area for leisurely evenings.
The regal interiors and impeccable cutlery immediately caught our eye, setting the stage for a truly luxurious dining experience. Falak is indeed a top choice for those seeking fine dining options in Bangalore.
What truly elevated our experience was the next-level hospitality displayed by the staff. They inquired if we were celebrating a special occasion and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was nothing short of delightful. After our feast, they surprised us with a beautifully adorned cake and candle, along with offering to capture our special moments with photographs.
One particular detail that stood out was the thoughtful presentation of lemons, covered in a small piece of cloth to contain the seeds—a subtle yet significant gesture that spoke volumes about the restaurant's dedication to every aspect of the guest experience.
Kudos to the entire team at Falak and Leela Bhartiya City for their exceptional service and attention to detail. It's no wonder this property is a standout choice for discerning diners like us. We can't wait to return for another...
Read moreThe place offers a superlative dining experience when it comes to North Indian/Awadhi cuisine in Bangalore. The curated menu brings in a lot of variety and would need multiple sittings to do it justice. Fortunately we went with a large group and so got to sample most of it. These guys take their Tandoori chicken seriously, and claim that it's the best in the country. After sampling it, I'd have to agree to them, the chicken had a strong hit of Clove which i liked. It was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, Our host Deb explained that it was something achieved by firing the bird in 2 tandoors at different temperatures. We thoroughly enjoyed the veg fare as well, sampled their veg platter, and the slow cooked dall which was again thoughtfully served in bowls for all at the table. The Nalli Nihari came with a generous portion of tender lamb shanks. Even the Khamiri roti was something!. Perfect to soak in the gravy. We thought we managed to keep some room for the Gulab Jamun. But the Jamuns came in twos , decked in gold foil and had a filling! Overall we were happy with the food or should i call it "a dining experience" a shout out to Deb our host and the chef's who kept checking on us. If there was anything that i felt was missing, it would be the ambience, as it was more contemporary, it didn't have the little Royal touch that Jamavar had with the decor. But here you'll get a 17th floor view...
