𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫: Chitra with her beautiful smile was warm and made us feel comfortable.

𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: I've never seen someone change dining table cloth each time a table is cleared.

𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐮 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Wide range of menu both in non veg and veg. The menu description is a plus point that helps us to understand what we're ordering.

𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝: guilin chilli chicken, crystal asparagus dumpling, pineapple skewers, chicken Schezwan chilli, veg fried rice, veg burnt garlic noodles, mango & shanso sorbet, sesame caramel icecream.

𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: I've been to other five star eateries as well, and they always have less salt/seasoning and almost bland food. This place on the other hand was so unexpected, because I found taste in everything I had. Really good and tasty. The dessert was lip smacking - loved the flavour of sesame caramel icecream - it was like I was having creamy "gur til" and mango sorbet on the other hand was very light and refreshing.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: good plating and way of presenting be it the asparagus dumpling, pineapple skewers or the vessel chosen for noodles, fried rice and the dessert.

𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞: I'd say fried rice was sufficient for two people with basic appetite.

A disastrous evening...a special occasion went sour.... thanks to the non- existent service at the restaurant. The staff was just running around and the intersting part was that only three tables were occupied. I managed to get a glass of warm water after 40 mins of waiting. The rest of the family ordered drinks which never arrived. The appetizers arrived after almost an hour by which time we lost our patience and asked for the cheque. And lo behold! The bill includes drinks which never was served to us.... Don't think we will ever go back.... The kids were extremely disappointed...And hubby's day got ruined as he just wanted us to have a good time. The only saving grace was that whatever food we ate ...the chicken satay, pork charsiew bao, Shanghai veg dimsum and fried Lotus stem with water chestnut..all these tasted good. So did the warm water that i finally got. Cannot post without a rating which is why...

Marked deterioration in service experience compared to our earlier pleasant experience.Overall excellent ambience at this Leela property's Lotus Oriental restaurant. The seating, both indoor and outdoor near the pool is well spread, spacious and cozy with a great ambience. Food options are good.Prawn tempura, Burnt garlic rice, Phad Thai Chicken, Crunchy dragon Sushi, Gullin Chilli Chicken were well cooked and delicious.Cocktails and mocktails were moderate.Chefs meticulous making of delicious Sushi was appreciable. Service was unfortunately not upto the mark despite our celebration of a special occasion,unlike our earlier experience. Waiter simply vanished when we asked for our bill and we had to wait for a long time and remind others to get the bill.After this long wait ,sadly there were billing errors and we had to get them corrected.Unexpected of a star property, especially...
