I recently visited MTR at Bhartiya City, and it was a thoroughly satisfying experience. The location is excellent—easily accessible within the well-planned Bhartiya City township—and the atmosphere perfectly complements the heritage and authenticity that MTR is known for. The interiors are clean, comfortable, and welcoming, giving a pleasant mix of traditional charm with a modern touch. Coming to the food, it was exactly what you’d expect from a brand like MTR—simple yet flavorful, with consistent quality. Idli- Soft, fluffy, and well‑paired with chutney and sambar. Dosa-Crispy on the outside, soft inside, served hot with generous accompaniments. Filter Coffee: Authentic South Indian taste with the right strength and aroma—an absolute must‑try. Bakery items -Fresh, with that homemade touch in taste; a nice surprise addition to the usual menu. Overall, MTR at Bhartiya City offers a well-rounded dining experience good food, great location, and an ambiance that makes you want to come back. Ideal for breakfast, a light snack, or a relaxed coffee break. Highly recommended for those who appreciate authentic South Indian flavors in a...
Read moreThe food was okay, decent and hot enough to eat, though does not do justice to the high price point. Why the 1 star then? It is based on an observation of the staff and their very pathetic behaviour, particularly the male gaze of the two staff members (servers). I had gone with my husband and child in the early hours in the morning for a quick meal, apart from his there was just one another customer, a young girl probably in her 20s in gym wear (shorts and a hoodie) minding her own business on a separate table. She got ready to leave after about say 15-20 mins after wrapping her meal. The moment she got up, the two young men who were waiters stood close to the billing counter and scanned her like hungry bloody wolves. The girl kept her head down the entire time, paid via UPI and just left. I am sure she will never return because here is the truth, we bloody KNOW and feel the gaze in our skin and bones. Atleast have the decency to employ and impart basic training. A girl/woman cannot even have a meal in peace! Hire and train...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at MTR. Ordered Bisibele Bath and Kali Dosa, and when we requested boondi or chips as an accompaniment, the staff rudely dismissed it, saying MTR doesn’t provide that. Worse, they said they would charge ₹30 for just one cup—which seemed unreasonable.
Adding to the bad service, when the bill totaled ₹252, they insisted on exact payment via GPay, refusing to let go of the ₹2 balance. When we inquired again about the boondi, the staff’s behavior was extremely rude and argumentative, displaying a complete lack of customer service.
Such an attitude is unacceptable from a reputed place like MTR. I will never visit again and strongly urge the store manager to address staff behavior. Customers deserve respect,...
