A Valentine’s Lunch to Remember at Fireside: Flame Craft Dining
Some meals are just food, and then there are meals that are experiences—ones that make you pause, close your eyes, and savor every bite like it’s a love letter to your taste buds. Fireside: Flame Craft Dining was exactly that kind of experience for us.
For our Valentine’s Day lunch date, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and from the very first bite, we knew we had found something extraordinary. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece, perfectly crafted with balanced flavors, top-notch ingredients, and a whole lot of heart.
We started with the Maphraw Prawn, a stunning coconut-crusted delight that came with a beautifully vibrant sauce. The crunch, the succulence, the subtle sweetness of coconut—it all blended together so seamlessly that we knew we were in for a treat.
Then came the Chengdu Lamb, a dish that was a flavor bomb of aromatic spices with meat so tender, it practically melted. Every bite packed the kind of heat and depth that left us reaching for more.
The Konkan Fish was a revelation—bold, spicy, and perfectly seared with that authentic coastal kick. The crispy curry leaves on top? Chef’s kiss!
We also had the Smoked Chicken Leg and the Lamb & Fettuccine Pasta, both of which continued to impress. The chicken was smoky and juicy, while the pasta had a richness that made it absolutely irresistible.
And just when we thought we couldn’t be wowed any further, dessert arrived. Their Churros with Almond Ice Cream and Saffron Milk was unlike anything we’ve ever had before. The crispy, golden churros, dunked in that luxuriously fragrant saffron milk, with the creamy nuttiness of almond ice cream—it was a divine ending to an already mind-blowing meal.
Beyond the food, what made this experience even more special was the hospitality. Nagabhushan, the owner himself, was our server, and he took the time to walk us through the menu, sharing the stories and inspirations behind each dish. You could tell that this wasn’t just a restaurant—it was a passion project, built with love and a deep respect for culinary artistry.
Fireside: Flame Craft Dining is still relatively new, but it’s already setting the bar sky-high. If you’re in search of a meal that excites, surprises, and leaves you dreaming about it long after it’s over—this is the place. We can’t wait to go back!

Read moreFireside in Kalyan Nagar is a hidden gem that perfectly marries the rustic charm of traditional wood-fired cooking with fine dining excellence. This family-run establishment offers a unique culinary experience that stands out in Bengaluru's diverse restaurant scene.
The star of the show is undoubtedly their wood-fired cooking technique, which infuses every dish with an authentic, smoky flavor that's impossible to replicate with modern cooking methods. The lamb and pork dishes are masterfully prepared - the meat is incredibly succulent and tender, falling off the bone with minimal effort. The seafood deserves special mention - their fish and calamari preparations are arguably the best I've had anywhere, with perfect texture and beautiful char from the wood fire. Don't miss their exceptional in-house ginger beer - this small-batch, fermented beverage is lovingly prepared on-site and is an absolute must-try!
What makes Fireside truly special is the personal touch from the family running it. The host takes time to connect with every guest, sharing fascinating stories about the restaurant's origins. He told us about how the restaurant's concept was inspired by his hometown in Coastal Karnataka, where freshly caught fish would be cooked on wood fire right as the fishing boats returned - a tradition they've beautifully preserved here.
The kitchen is expertly run by the family, whose combined culinary expertise shines through in every dish. They've created an establishment that feels both professional and deeply personal. The attention to detail in both food and service is remarkable.
The hospitality here is exceptional - warm, attentive, and genuine. They take the time to explain each dish, share stories, and ensure every guest feels welcomed. It's rare to find a fine dining establishment that maintains such an intimate, personal connection with its patrons.
Fireside isn't just a restaurant - it's a celebration of traditional cooking methods, family heritage, and exceptional hospitality. Whether you're a fan of perfectly cooked meats, seafood enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates authentic dining experiences, this place is absolutely...
Read moreOn 14th July , Sunday night my husband and I decided to try Fireside(Flame craft dining). A beautiful place, a quiet place and we were extremely pleased with the service as well as the uniqueness of the menu. Everything was beautifully crafted right in front of us, the experience itself is something one shouldn’t miss out on, nothing you usually get around Bangalore. It intrigued us to try a lot and definitely come back again. We could take only two pictures at the very end as we were too busy indulging ourselves in the overall experience. :)
To start: Calamari souvlaki (Coal- fired calamari bird eyed chilli)
Sambal nadru: lotus stem Soft and juicy calamari pieces served on and with a side of the perfect sauce, splendid at every bite. It melts in your mouth, creating a beautifully put combination of just the right amount of spices. The lotus stem( sambal nadru) , amazing as each bite has its crispy crunch and pop of spice making your mouth water. A perfect combination of spices and caramel taste towards the end keeping your lips smacking. Salad: Grilled pear salad: flame grilled pear Avocado dressing , green and red tomatoes never expected a salad to taste on its own soo splendid. Amazing presentation , crunchy with its smoky flavour and I’m usually not a fan of avocado, though this was truly out of this world. The avocado was puréed into a smooth blend, and not as thick as I’d thought, therefore leaving you with the right amount of dressing. Mains : Chicken and scallion rice I must say, as it’s cold and rainy outside, a blissful evening had to end with a perfect main. The warmth of the unique and yet soo simple meal, kept me satisfied and full. The broth that came with this meal was the perfect addition, a soupy mixture(at your own pour) made it perfect with its tender juicy chunks of chicken. The rice just correctly cooked with just the right hint of flavour that allowed each part of this meal to come together. Pork burger ( tenderloin) I’ve never seen such a juicy burger, filled to the max with real meat, the right amount of fillings and the most perfect bun. Amazing as expected and smoked...
