Fish and Fries Restaurant Roof Top — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The first Wednesday of the month had the KLG vote for an outlet in HSR as per norm. This time though, the outlet we voted for turned out to be quite extraordinarily good and out of norm!

We visited "Fish and Fries" restaurant as a group of 7. Luckily we went in time and got seating, else the place got packed by about 1.30pm with folks waiting for a table to free up.

We started with some Prawns Masala Fry, then a Bangda tawa fry, a mushroom chilli and a Tawa fry Tilapia (Jilapi). The masala the prawns came in was not too exciting, but the Tilapia, Bangda and the mushrooms were superb. We then tried the Bengali style "Steamed Paturi Rui" - which was excellent, and we ended up ordering one portion more of the Steamed Paturi with Catla, and another Tilapia Tawa fry.

The Chicken kababs were good. The Goan style Mackarel curry was a mishmash of Kerala and Goan flavors, did not stand out.

The Biryanis were excellent and the Neer dosas melt in the mouth.

What stood out for us was the freshness/ quality of the fish used, and the incredible value pricing (refer bill for details). No where else can you eat this much of fish and get away by paying such a low bill amount!

Just one line... Don't think twice, go here. I bet you won't be disappointed.

I love everything about this place. Though I have been here few times, but never got a chance to take pics because I was always busy in enjoying the food. Just pickup any name from the menu and you would love it. There's a special touch in every dish they prepare.. they cook the food and serve it with what you call "Dil se". Don't miss the section "today's special" and you should try one of those dishes.

Coming to Ambience, it's not a very great ambience to be honest. But who cares when you have such awesome food at your table. Enjoy the food with dim light and light music.

The best part I like here along with the taste of food is "the presentation" every single dish they serve in a different way.. before taking into mouth, you would feel like enjoying through eyes and mind.

Overall not a too crowded place..location is perfect for parking.. pocket friendly... Awesome seafood.. Italian, Continental Chinese under one roof... Great service.. Completely Value for Money.. and yes, I would like to go here again n again.. :)

Ordered for a King Fish Fry from this place..

Had 3 issues

1.Received stale, cold food.

The behaviour of the staff members were unruly. When the delivery partner told them that the fish is cold and requested them to at least reheat it, and they did not; when I spoke to them on the Swiggy delivery partner's phone the guy who spoke on the other.side had the audacity to tell me that you are getting an expensive fish for less somwe.cannot reheat or anything just take what we are giving.

The fish was for an aging bed ridden person who has had a bit of it and instantly complained. Hope it doesn't deteriorate her health.

It was raining hard and the delivery partner wasn't allowed to stay in and take shelter.

It is sure that these guys don't care about the food they serve or their customers . Don't even have an ounce of humanity. Please rethink before...
