One of the recent additions for the franchise in the North Bangalore area . Opposite RMZ Galleria Mall on the top floor of the Malabar jewels building .
Very spacious and roomy . They also have seating on chair and tables in addition got their Dhabha style cots . These are easier for older folks . Plenty of space so easy to host larger family gatherings .
Food is good , went in winter and hence was able to taste the “Sarson ka Saag “. The Gobi pakoda was good along with the variety of paranthas that we tried which was also nice
Lassi was nice , though the one with jaggery was sweeter .
The service definitely needs improvement . Saturday night and they were definitely under pressure . They get busy with lot of online orders , so food does take its time after about 8:30 . Should definitely do something to improve this . Also , the folks taking orders were also quite limited for the number of tables being covered .
Updated in Apr 2025 .
Came for lunch with a family of 12 , Rajan took wonderful care of us . We had ordered a variety of dishes - Pakoras, Paneer Tikka, Dahi ke kabab, which were uniformly nice. The buttermilk was flavourful and refreshing.
The main course was mostly different varieties of Paranthas and Puri / Baturey, which were all very well made. One parantha is usually quite heavy and can be shared by two. Additionally we had also ordered the Malai Kofta, Mushroom Jalfrezi with some yummy phulkas (lathered in desi ghee, you can go without as well!). Given that it was a week day afternoon (Thursday) - i think we were quite lucky with service, which was quite smooth. I however feel the place still needs a couple more folks to take orders and they may well struggle during crowded evenings.
Note:- This branch has currently not tied up with Swiggy/Zomato. So do not expect any payment discounts.
Look forward to coming back a third...

Ambience: The cafe offers a delightful blend of traditional Punjabi vibes with a touch of modernity. The setting reflects a "desi" charm with contemporary elements, making it an enjoyable place to dine.
Food: The Crispy Corn Punjabi style and Chola Bhatura was flavorful and satisfying. Aloo paratha was good too. Paneer curry was decent, though not extraordinary. The fulka (Indian bread), however, felt undercooked and a bit hard, especially for someone who consumes fulka regularly, which may be a point of concern for some. The Lassi and Chaas (buttermilk) were refreshing, though slightly overpriced by about 10-20 INR. Service was decent overall, although there seemed to be minor confusion with orders (e.g., an order brought twice). Fortunately, no one had to wait excessively long for their food, so the missteps were relatively harmless.
Cons:
Parking: Finding a parking spot was challenging, which reflects how busy the place gets. However, it could be a small inconvenience depending on when you visit.
Pricing: The price point felt somewhat high for the quality offered. While there are pricier restaurants that offer matching quality, there are also places where food tastes better at a lower price. That said, taste can be subjective, so it’s always good to try the cafe for yourself before forming a strong opinion.
Conclusion: Kapoor’s Cafe is worth trying, especially if you appreciate a blend of Punjabi authenticity and modern vibes. However, keep in mind that pricing is on the higher side, and while the taste might be subjective, it’s recommended to experience it before dismissing based on...
Read moreThe resturant is another example of how a restaurant looses focus on quality, service and greed kicks in taking their customers for granted.
Cheap dhabha looking interior, sticky khatiyas and uncleaned tables.
Under staffed resturant ignores the basics. Water glasses not given, plates not given. Order does not come as he is struggling.
It looks like kitchen was working at 500% capacity. Anything that is churned out from there under this load turns out to be a diaster.
Fast to cook starters were okay. Basically punjabi names to same std items with some chat powder on it.
Called for a paneer tandoori started and looked like cook forgot to put the paneer in the tandoor. It was raw, in cooked. Yuk. Told the captain and he said he will get another one. We were already stuck as we ordered the main course.
We ordered paneer do pyazza and veg kolapuri and both tasted the same.. can you believe that? When I complained he just took the veg kolapuri half portion and put some chilli powder and literally threw the plate back.
Called the captain who was busy only managing birthday party group. Taking rudely saying u tell me what u want and I will get it. That's the attitude.
Told the resturant manager and he was like iam busy and I will call you tomorrow for taking detailed feedback.
Typical victim of fast success especially in an industry where long term customer service approach is required.
More updates tomorrow, I just hope I don't suffer from food poisoning. Because of dirty cutlery,...
