Decent place. Nothing out of the world. It's a personal preference issue that the food is very mediocre and not worth the money charged. We took the kabab platter with one chicken item and 2 pieces of lamb seekh.
Was super disappointed as the chicken was somewhat good but could have been smoky and a bit softer. The lamb sheek was salty and had no flavour .. felt almost like cardboard ... I am comparing this to a place called "zama" in indiranagar who makes the most amazing kababs.
We also took chicken lababdar and garlic naan and some herb infused naan. Equally disappointed and there was no smell of garlic in the bread. I would get the same food from an average joe north indian restaurant in the town area. I am comparing this average dhaba experience where the food smells smoky, garlic naan has that pungent garlic smell and food feels good and not like it's made for only kids to digest.
The highlight was the drinks. That indian aam panna mocktail was heavenly.. had 2.. my girlfriend liked that jamun drink too. It was amazing...
Service wise, 2 people served us. One was who took the order. He was an amazing human being and should get a raise like every half year. Very jolly and suggests the best drinks.
The other one wouldn't see me in the eye, wont smile, spilled my drink and didn't say sorry or give a replacement, just watched us with a sorry face.
We spent a decent ₹3k on the 3 mocktails, 2 naan, one chicken item and one platter. Compared to an average local dhaba it is almost 5x more expensive at less than half the taste.
There is an adjoining harpal singh restaurant. I am scared to go to that.. looking at the food taste of these 5 atar chefs. Normal bars have better emotion evoking taste than this .. highly disappointed with the whole thing.
Food was underwhelming, but that one waiting manager was amazing. I wish I could get his name. Spoke well, had a jolly and smiling face and was super active. Sorry for not getting your name, I was agonizing over the food. 🥹
Note: The food is not bad. Its good. But not something you would expect from a masterchef. It's very normal and not worth the money spent. It works well here cus all other places in the mall serve bar food, continentals and not roti sabzi. It better to just to exit the mall and turn right to find places like uday huts and al.. food is...

⭐☆☆☆☆
I had high expectations for Plaka By Ajay Chopra, especially with the chef's reputation and the promise of "dishes with a story" and "fusion cuisine." Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had.
We ordered two starters - the avocado with seaweed (veg) and the Turkish chicken with pita bread (non-veg). The concept of blending cuisines sounded exciting, but the execution was absolutely terrible. These weren't creative fusions; they were confused, poorly thought-out combinations that simply didn't work. The flavors clashed rather than complemented each other, and honestly, it felt like ingredients were thrown together without any real understanding of how they'd taste.
The food was all presentation and showmanship with zero focus on actual taste. It looked Instagram-worthy, sure, but the moment you take a bite, you realize it's just fancy plating masking subpar flavors. The dishes were so unpalatable that we could barely eat and had to leave most of the food untouched.
When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the staff suggested another dish. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but I can't stress this enough - it was equally bad, if not worse. At this point, we just wanted to leave.
To add insult to injury, they charged us ₹133 as service charge. Service charge for what? Serving us food that was essentially inedible? When the food quality is this poor, charging extra feels like a complete rip-off.
Bottom line: This place is all about the celebrity chef brand and fancy presentation, but when it comes to delivering quality food that actually tastes good, it fails miserably. Save your money and your taste buds - there are far better restaurants out there that focus on flavor over flashy presentation.

Read moreCompletely surprised...oh wait...if the surprise is not good then it's shock right??... completely shocked! Such a renowned chef, but the food...ufff (with pacepalm emotion). Food is not for Indian palette...quantity not per price...I don't recall last time I felt this robbed for a meal. In 7 people which included 2 kids...following order was not enough...4 starters (out of which for 2 we ordered double portions) and 4 portions of dal and Shahi paneer plus breads...because everything comes in only four pieces...four or 5 pieces only...this included thinnest paneer tikka ever, blandest mushroom poppers...sweet hummus (although waiter warned us that its not usual hummus you get...should have paid heed...good money wasted)...dal makhani seemed to devoid of dal and makhan and spices...so was Shashi paneer ..spiceless sweet sauce...to their credit..paneer was soft. And please please by all means never order amritsari kulcha here (again waiter warned us that amritsari kulcha is not a tandoor made...should have listened...but thought how much can one ruin amritsari kulcha ..got the answer)...
Throughout the service I kept on wondering why are the portion sizes so less, few thoughts came to mind: They are promoting mindful eating They are trying to pose themselves as elite fine dining restaurant where it's normal to not really serve much which is edible They have made it so that people order more...because let's be honest..their portion size is not filling anyone up But the fact is...how much tasteless food can one eat..no matter what's the ocassion Of all the things we ordered...plain onions tasted best (and why I am saying we ordered onions because they got 3 slices of onion for 7 of us!)
Highly not recommended! Please avoid if you like food and you like your...
