Awesome place for some lip smacking street food. Popular items are chole or dahi chaat with samosa or tikki, pav bhaji, pani puri, dahi puri, dabeli, dry manchurian etc. So the street food at Puchkas is very yummy and the price range is somewhere between literal street food stalls to a small restaurant. Payment is generally cash or online via upi etc. They do also serve other meal items like thali, paranthas, wraps, sandwiches & chole bhatura as well for folks who prefer a full meal and that is tasty too. And once done with your meal don't forget the absolutely awesome desserts like rasmalai, gulab jamun or jalebi rabdi.
At this specific location of Puchkas there is seating space available for 4-5 groups of people to dine simultaneously. Also there is sufficient space right outside for parking upto 4 cars and bikes can be parked anywhere. You have to go inside slightly from the main road. This side lane however is absolutely broken or it's a dirt road with very uneven patches. I would recommend only walking or two wheeler unless the road is repaired someday. Cars can still enter easily and we did go by car ourselves but it'll be bumpy 50-100 metres from main road and my parents were unhappy with that.
While the food is tasty, the location itself is very ordinary and doesn't have any typical restaurant ambience as it's a roadside eatery. So keeping this in mind you may prefer to order home instead. Deliveries are available via food apps within 10km radius of any branch. They charge extra for packaging but it is done properly and cleanly. I have ordered chaat items and pani puri parcels before and I was satisfied with the packaging despite some additional charges. I hope you enjoy this place as well if...
Read morePuchkas in Marathahalli was once a go-to spot for delicious street food, with their Chole Bhature being a personal favorite. However, over time, the quality of their food has unfortunately degraded, and it’s becoming harder to recommend it with the same enthusiasm.
The Chole Bhature, which I used to rave about, no longer packs the same punch it once did. The chole, once rich in flavors and spices, now tastes bland and lacks the depth that made it stand out. The bhature, which was crispy and light, now feels greasy and heavy, making the whole meal less enjoyable. It’s clear that the consistency in quality has been compromised.
On top of this, the location itself is less than ideal. Marathahalli, with its busy traffic and constant construction, makes for a frustrating and inconvenient dining experience. Parking is a hassle, and the area doesn’t offer much in terms of ambiance. While Puchkas used to offer a cozy spot to grab a quick bite, now it feels like just another food joint lost in the chaos of the area.
Overall, Puchkas in Marathahalli has lost its charm. While it was once my favorite spot for Chole Bhature, the decline in food quality and the unpleasant location have made it hard to justify another visit. It’s a shame, as it had so...
Read moreIf you like over-paying for below average food served with a side of disrespect and being scammed for dessert, this is the perfect place for you.
Ordering itself is an unpleasant experience as the guy who operates the counter is rude af and does not entertain any queries.
Next, they will serve you the wrong food and the staff will start arguing with you for the same. I ordered chole bhature, they served me chole bhature with extra bhatura. I didn't realise it. After a few mins the guy who served me the food started arguing as to why I took the order with extra bhatura when he was the one who served it to me in the first place! Needless to say, the guy at the counter put the blame on me and charged me extra.
Coming to the food itself, it was below average considering the price they charge for it.
They are much better places out there where the staff treats you with respect and the food is actually good.
