Sangam Mess is situated in Kammanahalli, a foodie’s paradise indeed. With various modern restaurants around, this little mess situated in one of the side roads is worth a visit. Popular for it’s Kerala cuisine, it is impossible to leave this place without having their wide collection of seafood. For starters, we tried the Ayala Fry (Mackerel Fry) which was perfectly fried, there was no sign of the meat being roasted. The meat was soft and not chewy and the only downside would be the number of bones you need to get rid off. Served with cut onions, the fish starter was a good way to start off the lunch. Next for starters was the Chemmeen (Prawns) Roast. Most of us are familiar with the ghee roast concept, and this in particular was a huge winner at Sangam Mess. The perfectly cooked and mildly spiced prawn roast was so beautiful to taste and one could not stop wanting more of this tasty dish. I would recommend this to anyone coming over to Sangam Mess. Rice is a must have dish for most of us, be it for lunch or dinner. A freshly made Kerala Matta Rice was our go to choice for white rice, puffed and ready to be devoured. That day one of the specials available was the Ayala (Mackerel Fish) Curry. A coconut based, rich in spices and small bits of meat was in fact the perfect combo for the Matta Rice. Finally, the showstopper was the Prawns Biryani. Traditionally made with authentic spices, this was the best way to end the meal. Rich in taste and quality, one could cherish this dish for eternity. Sangam Mess is located in a place where taking your four wheeler is impossible, so it would be better if you park your car on the main road and take a walk to this place. The place is very clean and has space to host a lot of people. The food is delivered piping hot and quick, making it a very enjoyable atmosphere to eat and cherish the South Indian cuisine. You can find them at 7, 3rd Cross, Chinnappa Layout, Opposite Sansar Collections, Kammanahalli, Bangalore.

A Slice of Kerala in Bangalore - Sangam Mess Delivers! If you're craving authentic Kerala-style food in Bangalore, Sangam Mess is the place to be! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with the comforting aromas of traditional Kerala spices and flavors that immediately take you on a culinary journey to God’s Own Country. The menu is packed with a variety of Kerala delicacies, and they truly deliver on taste and authenticity. Whether it’s the perfectly spiced fish curry, the crispy fried fish, or the flavorful beef fry, every dish is prepared with care and respect for tradition. The meals here remind me of home-cooked food, filled with all the goodness and love that Kerala cuisine is known for. The fish dishes, in particular, are exceptional. They offer a range of fresh seafood options that are prepared in traditional Kerala styles, each one better than the last. The tangy fish curry with a hint of coconut, the spicy fish fry, and the rich prawn masala are absolute must-tries. The ambiance is simple, yet it perfectly complements the homely food they serve. It’s a no-frills place where the focus is entirely on the food, and they do it brilliantly. The staff are friendly, and the service is quick, making it a perfect spot for a hearty meal. Overall, Sangam Mess is a gem for anyone who loves Kerala food or wants to experience authentic flavors in Bangalore. Whether you’re a native Keralite missing home or just someone who appreciates good food, Sangam Mess will not disappoint!

I recently visited Sangam Mess, a Kerala cuisine restaurant in Bangalore, and had a very good experience overall. Compared to the overrated Jose Mess in Madiwala, SG Palaya area, Sangam stands out as a better option. I tried a variety of dishes: 1. **Kerala meals (4.5/5):** The Kerala meals were excellent, with the only downside being that the Fish curry lacked a tangy taste. The Sambar and cabbage thoran were particularly delicious. 2. Manthal Fry (3/5): Unfortunately, this dish was overcooked and lacked salt. It also didn't taste fresh. 3. Kilimeen fry (3.5/5): This fry was decent but not exceptional in taste. The salt level was okay. 4. Beef fry (4.5/5): The Beef fry was outstanding, well-cooked, and had a delicious masala. I really loved it. 5. Crab roast (3/5): The Crab roast was just okay. The crab didn't seem fresh, which was a bit disappointing. I understand that sourcing fresh seafood can be challenging in Bangalore due to its geography, so I don't blame the restaurant for this. Despite this, Sangam Mess managed to deliver great taste overall. The restaurant doesn't have parking for cars, but there's enough space for bikes. The ambiance is really nice. Service was okay, but not exceptional. In terms of pricing, it's a little on the higher side, but the quality of the food justifies it. I would recommend Sangam Mess for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine, and they also offer white rice for those who prefer it.

The food is so good here. The option for half chicken biriyani is also available here for low diet. The must try item here is Kizhi Porotta and Kappa Biriyani. The meals is average. A number fish options are available. For Breakfast Appan and chicken stew is a very good combo. For Lunch Try meals with different fish options. Prawns Roast and Squid roast also are one time try options. The fish biriyani also can be a one time try. Paal Kappa and chicken curry or Kappa Biriyani is another options that can be tried. For Dinner, Try out the Kizhi poratta available here. Biriyani is available for dinner also is above average.

Sangam Mess is 9/10 place for mallus.
