A Scrumptious Breakfast at Samrat in Seshadripuram, Bangalore
This morning I had the pleasure of visiting Samrat, a delightful breakfast spot located in the bustling neighborhood of Seshadripuram, Bangalore. Known for its delectable South Indian fare, Samrat offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes to kickstart your day. Let me take you on a flavorful journey of my breakfast experience at Samrat today.
The Breakfast Spread:
Upon arrival, I was greeted with the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The menu boasted classic South Indian breakfast favorites, and I couldn't resist trying their signature items: idly, vada and masala dosa.
Idly - Soft and Satisfying:
The idlies at Samrat were a true delight. The idlies were perfectly steamed, fluffy, and incredibly soft. With a light, airy texture, they practically melted in my mouth. Accompanied by a trio of flavorful chutneys and piping hot sambar, the idlies made for a scrumptious start to the meal.
Vada - Crispy and Crunchy:
Next up was the vada, and it did not disappoint. The vada featured a golden-brown, crispy exterior that encased a fluffy and flavorful center. The contrast between the crunchy outer layer and the soft interior was simply delightful. It was a perfect accompaniment to the idlies and added a delightful crunch to the breakfast experience.
Masala Dosa - A Perfect Blend of Flavors: The star of the show was undoubtedly the masala dosa. It arrived at my table piping hot and beautifully presented. The dosa boasted a thin, crisp exterior that concealed a generous filling of flavorful potato masala. The dosa was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of golden crispness. With each bite, I relished the combination of the flavorful potato filling and the tangy sambar. The accompanying trio of chutneys added an extra burst of taste and texture to this already delicious dish.
Service and Conclusion: The service at Samrat was commendable, as the staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. The food was prepared promptly and served with a smile, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, my breakfast experience at Samrat was nothing short of delightful. The idlies were soft, the vada was crispy, and the masala dosa was a perfect blend of flavors. The accompanying chutneys and sambar added an extra layer of deliciousness to the meal. Combined with the quick and efficient service, Samrat proved to be a fantastic spot to start the day with a satisfying South Indian breakfast. If you find yourself in Seshadripuram, Bangalore, be sure to visit Samrat for a memorable breakfast experience that will leave your taste buds craving for more.

Read moreThe hotel is maintained very cleanly. After each service they will clean the entire table very well. Both hot water and normal water will be served as per your requirement (they don't push customer to use packaged water). The speciality which i felt is the CHUTNEYS. They will serve three types of CHUTNEY. Which is very tastier and they will serve as much the requirement. The akki idli and vada is very good in taste and quality, idly is smooth, uddina vada is very crispy and tastier. (compared to other restaurant, more uddu and perfect proportion used here to make authentic and traditional idly and vada). So any age group can consume idly. The masala dosa is small in size but it is also tastier. The vegetable saagu which is served with set dosa... Is some what spicy i felt. The taste is some what less to compared with idli and masala dosa.
The coffee, tea is also good in taste and they will serve that in glass tumbler it is very helpful to hold and drink.
This is my 20th visit to this place in recent year. Only one time i felt sambar was very spicy and hard to eat. All other visits are good enough. (30 years ago, I was going with my father and enjoying)
Service part, i faced disturbed with twice by waiter/server which annonyed me too much. Rest visit are happy.
If we come to the part of PRICE some times we may feel high.. example upma, kesari bath or else ok ok.
Totally i can say, i am really...
Read moreThis restaurant has been here for a couple of decades. They have redone the interior completely. They have spacious seating on the ground floor and also in the mezzanine floor. We visited this restaurant on December 28, 2014 for lunch. We were on a time constraint. I must say, despite the rush hour, the wait staff was very understanding and ensure that our food was served as promised - Hot, Delicious and "On Time". We made our next appointment on time.
This is a vegetarian only restaurant. We had Kadai Paneer, Dal Tadka, Butter Garlic Nan, Roti, Masala Pappad and Curd Rice. Of course not to miss Gulab Jamoon for dessert. All dishes were yummy and served hot.
The vegetable topping on the Masala Pappad was very cold. Did not go well in December in Bangalore.
They are in prime location and easily accessible from Majestic Area, especially walking distance from Ananda Rao Circle, Bangalore. This walk will certainly work up a good appetite..:)
The tariff was Rs. 325/pax and was worth it.
If you are in the area and looking for good vegetarian restaurant, you should give this place a try once.
Parking is a challenge I must say.
Oh! Almost forgot,,,,they make one delicious "Dal Kichidi"...Love it!
