Changed my 5 star rating to 1, reason mentioned below.
I am a frequent visitor of this restaurant for the last 5 years. Always had wonderful experience in terms of food and the uncle who serves tea. Along with the good food experience, I have noticed some bad practices here couple of times but then I brushed off the felling by thinking it's ok, they serve good food and maybe I am thinking too much. I am talking about RACISM here. Earlier I had noticed the staff that serves food behaving very badly with the non local staffs who were majorly from Assam/Nepal. I felt bad for them but couldn't do anything. Today I went their with my family along with an infant. I ordered -
Bissibele bath 3 Plates of Mangalore bun Vada Khara bath All these items are readily available here and need not require cooking on order unlike Dosa.
Now I have noticed all the staffs changed. I gave my token and waited for 10-15 mins for my orders. The guy on the counter wasn't giving me any of the item and meanwhile he kept serving the same food to customers who were coming after me. I was confused but waited. Then after almost 10 mins I politely said to him thinking maybe he is lost somewhere, Sir, whatever i have ordered is ready, can you kindly give me my food. He a little rudely said there are other customers to serve not only you. I thought maybe he is having a bad day, I kept quite and he gives me one plate of Mangalore bun. I ordered 3 plates. Now he again started serving other 3 customers, I waited again. Again 3 customers came afterwards and he started giving food to them. Now I was loosing my patience and said in an irritated voice pls give me the food. It's all ready right infront of you yet you aren't giving me anything and contrary waiting for dosas to get ready and serve to other customers. So meanwhile you can give me my food. He started shouting on me saying I will serve them whoever comes and will give you later because you have ordered so many things. It really didn't make any sense to me. I went to the counter and mentioned this to the billing guy and he started shouting at his highest pitch and said something very racist- "We will serve you only when we are done serving our local customers, till then you have to wait, doesn't matter how soon you come". He literally shouted on his highest pitch on me. I wasnt shocked by his reaction because then I remembered something that this guys has done many times when I go for billing. He talks with random people coming to the counter, just giggling and talking random things and makes me to wait till he is done chatting. I always thought it's just coincidence. And If I ask him to hurry he very rudely tells me to wait. But again, I thought maybe it's just in my head. But today everything was all clear to me.
I haven't deleted my postive review and edited it because I want people to know that this place wasn't always like this and the other guy who sits on the billing counter, we never had any bad experience with him. But this person is way too rude to deal with customers. I ignored my previous bad experiences and never even thought of putting anything negative because this was a place very dear to me.
Also the taste of the food is changed, Mangalore bun, bissibele bath tastes very different thn it used to be. Maybe they have changed the cook. It tastes very bad now. But uncle at the coffee counter rocks always 😇.
Note to the owner-
Respect your customers irrespective of their race. I have been a loyal costomer of yours for years, ignoring everything bad that I have seen here. You earn from people of other states too. If you don't like them pls put a board mentioning the same. But don't feed people with so much of hatred. You won't like it if it's done to you.
Posting picture of the billing guy, pls take a u turn if you see him at...

One good thing about this place is that they are always willing to accommodate different family sizes. The staff are very good and some of them have been here since the place opened. I have no issues with the food here. It's always good. Menu is too large to go through if it's your first time here though. Service is always good. Will have to wait for your food depending on what you order. Good thing is you can always ask them to pack any left over food if in case you ordered too much. Give it a try. Oh, also there may be a wait sometimes depending on the rush.Reasonably priced dishes, average ambiance. Food was a bit spicy (very personal), otherwise tasty. Juice (mint, ginger combo) was sweeter than sugar and that spoiled the taste.Love the food and ambience. Very good party hall and services for family functions like engagement and birthday parties or any all office gathering and meetings. Good service and tasty food. Ofcourse price are slightly higher.. But party hall and food for 100 person is good.Located in a prominent and accessible area. Good function halls and surprisingly tasty food too. Good place for quick bites. A/C service hall is available. They serve good food and service is prompt. One of the best best places to enjoy a nice South Indian breakfast. I just love the dosa here. They have restaurant section as well. Ground floor has no seating option, it's smart as more people can sit at the same time it won't hurt to put a few chairs and tables. As there would be times when someone can't stand and eat.
Wonderful place to get good south indian snacks. Has a restaurant as well, reasonably priced. Masala dosa is to die for.
One of the best places to have food in Bangalore, especially Karabath and coffee. Price is very cheap, Coffee is must to have.
Eatery is visible from road. It has 2 floors , ground floor and 1st floor. Ground floor for self service and 1st floor you have seats. Place is clean. This place is famous for its rawa idlies. Food is tasty and filter coffee is the best. The cashiers and the staff are friendly and courtious. Any issues when mentioned are taken care immediately by the cashiers Parking in the front of the shop on main road itself. It is difficult to get parking sometimes. Two wheeler best option.
Practically all items on the menu are outstanding. Bisibele bhaath, Rawa idli, Gobi Manchurian, Dosas are delicious. The grilled sandwiches and dessert sundaes too are really well prepared and presented. This place has been around since 40+ years and is still going strong. Service standards are excellent. Prices are reasonable and totally value for money. It's a must visit place for a quick bite if you're in this part of town.
Very good and professional restaurant serving south Indian foods. Their packing is far better compared to shops in locality. Their taste is different and good. They keep the place neat and clean always. The pricing is cheap for the quality of food given.

Read moreI recently visited a restaurant and I have mixed feelings about my experience there. While the food was okay, it was nothing extraordinary, and the prices were as usual high beacuse of the brand However, the juice at this place was definitely not worth the money.
Starting with the food, I ordered a couple of dishes but they were not as delicious as I expected them to be. They were average in taste, and I have had better versions of the same dishes at other restaurants. The prices were also on par with what you would expect from a mid-range restaurant, so I wasn't blown away by the value for my money.
However, what really disappointed me was the juice that I ordered. I decided to go for the freshly squeezed moosambi juice, thinking it would be a refreshing accompaniment to my meal. But, to my surprise, the juice was grossly overpriced 55rs and not worth the money. The taste was very ordinary, and it was with 3 -4 slices with plain water and the glass which they gave was biggest scam it didn't have capacity to hold 200ml.
Overall, while the food at this restaurant was not terrible, it was also not exceptional. The prices were high for what was offered, but the juice was definitely overpriced and not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend this place solely for the juice, but if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, it's not the worst option considering the ambience and hygiene...
