Not often do you randomly walk into A Darshini and actually get great food. While waiting for a friend to arrive, I got the opportunity to try out this one, and it was amazing! My standard order is a plate of Idli along with a Masala Dosa with jaasti kim chutney (spicy red paste ++). The Idli was soft, and disappeared into the throat like water! For me, Service speed is defined by when the Dosa call out happens, after I've been served my Idli, and surprisingly, my Dosa was ready before I had finished my plate! The Dosa, however, was slightly crispier than my liking, but I've learnt that a huge majority of Dosa lovers like it crispy, and this time around, it was my mistake of not specifying while ordering. They did follow the instruction for excess chutney, and the taste of the Dosa was delectable! They could've served a little more masala within the Dosa. Overall, this Udupi Park was worth visiting. Btw, this was happening in the evening arounfld 8 pm, which make this Darshini one of the few that serve Idli's during the...

Think multiple times before even going here.
Had to wait for 15 minutes to get masala dosa, when there were no pending orders. Person making the dosa was roaming unnecessarily and talking on phone, instead of working. On asking the person who took coupon on delay, he just gave look and didn't answer. There is definitely no customer service mindset here.
Dosa was too bad. It was very sour. We get much better dosas in food trucks. Quality of food was not at all good. Had upset stomach after having dosa here.
High pricing.
When I went to get Tea, counter was smelling really bad. They were cleaning the inside of counter, maybe it was due to that, but that smell was unbearable.
They were cleaning the entire restaurant floor while we were there. The phenyl smell was soo strong that it was kind of irritating and we felt like we are sitting in some bathroom.
Hygeine is missing.
Too humid. All windows are closed and no AC is there, which leads to too much hot and humid atmosphere.
Eating in such condition...
Read moreNothing very special here, a typical south Indian restaurant for quick bite but other north Indians options are also available. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, decently crowded but we got the table. There's an AC option as well for sitting if you don't want a self service but that will a bit expensive compared to self service sitting area. I didn't like the behavior of cashier as he was not happy when I ordered another item after he billed me for my first set of order. Overall I found it a bit costlier than other similar joints with food taste was a bit on down side. The Dosa was very thick and oily and Chutney was okiesh. It costed us 420/- for 3 Masala Dosas, 2 plates Idli and 1 Kesari Bath. Parking for four wheelers are available in front of the restaurant for a limited number of cars - probably 10-12 cars at max. 2 wheeler parking...
