Upsouth, Rajajinagar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

An interesting place for great South Indian food in Orion Mall. When you get those cravings for some great dosa, then need look no further while at Orion.

Ambience: (4/5) Though this place is inside the foot court, there seems to be a separate seating area for the restaurant. The nice thing about that is that it’s almost in its own cosy corner. It’s a self service counter as any other foot court outlet. The staff are also super courteous and hence makes the entire process great.

Food: (4/5) The butter dosa was epic, very well made and the sambar and chutney were also great. Overall it delivered on all counts. The Malabar parota was also good, however it felt like it was not fresh. Personally felt like an ID parota. Hence would recommend sticking to the dosa when trying out this place as it feels far more authentic.

Summary: (4/5) Great dosa and a cosy corner in the food court. This is a must try for those looking for a good South Indian option while...

Writing this review based on zomato order which was a combo of dosa and idli... Delivery boy just got dosa box and didn't get idli box for which I called both delivery boy and upsouth... Delivery boy straight forwardly told no to deliver it... Then I spoke to Mr Samuel who is the manager there in upsouth and told him that I ll be leaving soon from my current location... He assured me that box will be delivered by that time... 20 mins later I got call that he is there down at my location with his colleague ... He was so considerate to come himself and deliver the much needed box... Thank you so much Mr Samuel... Hats off to ur determination... People like u make the serving authorities proud.....

After a nice lunch in upsouth,I went to waffle stories, outside which there was ad( by upsouth) offering 15% discount on a bill over rs300/.I went back to upsouth and asked them why I didn't get the discount, when my bill was RS 540/. They said that I should have asked them . How could I ask when I didn't know about the discount? The advt was not outside upsouth, but near another eatery. Anyway, upsouth staff should have given me the discount themselves. Very bad...
