My recent visit to Kake di Hatti was nothing short of a nightmare, leaving me completely disappointed and frustrated. I had heard a lot about this place, but the reality couldn’t have been further from the hype.
Unacceptable Delays : From the moment we placed our order, the waiting time was unbearable. We were told the food would arrive in 20-30 minutes, but it stretched to almost a 40-45 min. No updates, no apologies, just endless waiting. It seemed like the staff had no clue how to manage orders efficiently. Even after multiple reminders, there was no urgency to serve our food.
Unavailability of Items : To make matters worse, many items on the menu were unavailable. We specifically wanted to try their signature thalis, only to be told they were out of stock. What kind of restaurant runs out of their best offerings? It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic—lure customers in with an exciting menu and then leave them with the worst options.
Wrong Orders and Overcharging: When the food finally arrived, it was the wrong order! We specifically ordered foods like Amritsari kulche thali, mix veg combo and Rajma chawal combo but instead of Rajma chawal combo (169/-) they gave only rajma masala(249/-). As if this wasn’t frustrating enough, they had the audacity to charge us extra for the incorrect order by saying we will add another steam rice(149/-). Basically they want me to order items of worth 400/- which is available in combo for 169/-. When we pointed out the mistake, the staff neither apologized nor offered to fix it—they just shrugged it off as if this was a common occurrence.
Poor Customer Service : The service throughout our visit was pathetic. None of the staff seemed interested in helping or even acknowledging the issues. When we tried to explain the problem, they are no responsive with us rather than resolving the matter professionally. A little bit of courtesy goes a long way, but at Kake di Hatti, it seemed like customer care was the least of their concerns.
Value for Money? Not Even Close : Given the delays, incorrect orders, missing items, and poor service, the entire experience felt like a waste of money. The food we did get was average at best—nothing that justifies the hype or the price. It’s one thing to pay a premium for good food and service, but Kake di Hatti...
Read moreWe had heard good things about this place, especially for its vegetarian food, so we decided to try it out. For starters, we ordered garlic mushrooms and Afghani paneer—both were fresh and tasty. However, the service was noticeably slow. On top of that, when we asked for a few items from the menu, including some basic beverages, we were repeatedly told, “this is not available.” It was frustrating to see so many basic items missing despite being listed.
For the main course, we ordered the chilly mushroom stuffed naan, which was quite good. The choor choor naan, on the other hand, was a major letdown—it was neither flaky nor resembling naan at all, and nothing about it matched the “choor choor” style. Very disappointing.
We also ordered two curries: mushroom masala and chana masala. Unfortunately, the mushroom masala was stale and inedible, while the chana masala had an unpleasant smell. When we pointed this out, the staff did offer a replacement paneer curry, which was decent, but it didn’t make up for the earlier experience.
Overall, the visit was far from enjoyable. Serving stale food is simply unacceptable, and despite a few good dishes, the overall experience left us very...
