Chowman (Saltlake) — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

Chicken Manchurian ordered from Chowman Saltlake and the food delivered stale, entire food was stinking.Immediately after checking the food contacted the restaurant and was talking with the cashier Sayan.He was not at all accepting the stale food was delivered and asking to deal with the delivery partner Swiggy. I have advised please do come someone from your restaurant and if you want take the swiggy delivery boy with you and check the quality of which was still intact there as just few minutes back the food was delivered.It’s a consumer fraud being done sending stale stinking food without even checking the quality and sending across to customers for having the food.I was about to feed my son but just opening the lid of the container it started stinking and the gravy was stale acidic in taste. I am surprised to get the behavior from the restaurant instead of accepting the matter constantly denying it when I am asking to send someone to check it by yourself that also denying.Such a ruthless service from a renowned restaurant.Moreover for any restaurant the key is quality of food which Chowman Saltlake is not at all maintaining it.Similar situation it happened earlier which I ignored but this time it’s time for protest against this fraud for sending the bad quality of food.Thanks to Swiggy for understanding the situation and will be sharing the feedback with the and also refunded the amount but the fraud is done by the restaurant...

I went there during the bookfair.

The food was good, but the waitress who was serving us had a strange behaviour.

Firstly, I went there with my girlfriend, and asked for a quiet seat in the corner, so that we could talk. They gave us a family table, in the middle of the restaurant! Absolutely zero recommendations for couples!

Within two minutes of entering the restaurant, we were asked to order. The restaurant was half empty. What was it about so much haste, we did not understand!

We ordered soup, chilli fish, and seafood fried rice that had egg, prawn, crab meat and squid in it. My girlfriend was not comfortable with squid, but liked the other ingredients. So I politely asked the waitress if we can exclude the squid in it. The waitress rudely answered "then what's the point of ordering seafood fried rice?" Well... she definitely proved her point... but isn't it my money, and my choice? 😒

I can use chopsticks very well, and I was using them to have my food. In the middle of me having my food, I was using spoon to scoop out some gravy from the chilli fish dish. The waitress came and took away my chopsticks! 😂

However, the manager was professional. He enquired about how the food was and everything.

One of the best Chinese cuisine they provide, excellent interiors gives u natural feel of China. I along wid my wife/kid/sister/sister in law visited this place for the first time. Every dish we ordered was best in taste except Cantonese Noodle which I felt was very dull in taste i had much better than this. Apart food service was superb n they pamper ur kid so much, they provided separate Plate, Glass , spoon n Fork so that they don't make much sound or break, they provided crayon n puzzle for them to play n a paper Bib so that their clothes don't get dirty. But the best was their last part it was raining very massively n security took every individual of us to our car separately won my heart. Keep up ur good food n service.

But thier is one thing which I want them to improve in their eMenu it's a very long list which makes us difficult to order so they need to group it like Soups, Starters, Main Course etc n again Veg-Non Veg also every dish has a description of food which also can be hided if someone needs to see the description will simply touch it n the description opens their if u touch again will close the description this way Menu will look short n probably u will remember where exactly ur food is to give order to the waiter.
