Some meals are truly #special and especially when you coincidentally walk in as the #first person ever to dine in at a new branch of a well known eatery - I felt even more special - hope I turn out to be a lucky mascot for them.. 😍😀
Talking about #Hondos2 at #ChinarPark which has finally started dine in facilities from yesterday evening itself after a long wait - as you all know - this is an offspring of the ever popular #meatjoint of the city - Hondo's - such a blessing for people in and around #Newtown & other nearby areas to finally get access to a food joint which remains open #24by7 - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week & 365 days a year 🕺🕺
This one is double the size of the older Hondo's - has two seperate seating sections with a washroom & a big kitchen equipped with the latest culinary equipments to serve you a #meatilicious meal everytime you order one.. Bright yellow interiors gives you a positive vibe everytime you walk in alongwith the wall art which has always been a hallmark of the older Hondo's..
Coming to the most important aspect - #food
I started off with my mandatory go to drink whenever I visit this joint - #ColaMojito - refreshes you like none other and helps you build appetite for a heavy meal ahead..
#JacketPotato is one of my favourites out here - enjoyed that with #bacon and #extracheese - every bite was truly a cheesy affair - if you are in love with potatoes - this one is a must have for you..
Ofcourse, when it comes to burgers - I always stick to my all time favourite - #KumroPotashBurger (nope, it has got nothing to do with pumpkin as most of you know already 😀) - now, this is what I call a true burger - two soft buns, an extremely juicy #beef patty (you can choose other meat options as well), two huge #pineapplerings, #onionrings & overloads of #cheese & bacon - no lettuce & any other veggies for me personally however they are available in the burger too otherwise - it was an absolute gastronomical ecstasy like always..
Unfortunately, #desserts will be ready from today onwards hence I missed out yesterday but no worries - will drop in again soon for another round of a heavenly meal..

The owners themselves participate in the cooking and serving of food, taking care to make the guests feel warm and at home. We were a group of 7 with 2 toddlers and a kid of 13 and while we were waiting for the ordered food, the owner promptly presented us with a bowl of French fries with a specially prepared Mango based dip just to keep the toddlers busy. The food of course was awesome. The platters (sausages, bacon, salamis) had a sufficient amount of meat and was well prepared and yummy. The "Thor burger" turned out to be a humongous bite with a mouth full of taste - not overpowering but perfectly irresistible. Finally, the beef steak was a complete shocker though in the most pleasant way. The steak was made in a sauce of Dijon mustard and had a taste that was completely unexpected. But the owner had already prepared us for this by telling us that their steak was absolutely different from the "authentic" stuff available everywhere. The outlet itself is very small, with just 3 tables but the bright yellow walls decorated with cheeky chalk art making the interiors eminently enjoyable. Read moreI stumbled across this place while searching for steaks on Google Maps. You would never find this gem tucked away in a quiet alley. I went there on a Saturday evening, and was surprised to be the sole patron there.
The décor is pretty decent. The seating is not bad. However, there are only 4 tables inside, for 4 people at each table.
I ordered a medium rare Beef Tenderloin Steak and was completely blown away. The cut is massive (300 grams), and was cooked to perfect tenderness. For the first time in my life, I saw mashed potatoes arranged to form a leaf design on the plate. Also, they serve a poached egg with the steak, which is a pleasant surprise.
I wrapped it up with a Blueberry mousse, which they serve with molten jam on top. Makes a perfect concluding dessert.
The owner is very friendly and has great taste in music. In his words, the restaurant only plays Pink Floyd and RHCP.
