I had the pleasure of dining at The Garden lounge and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that immediately set the tone for the evening.

Ambiance: The restaurant boasts a charming interior with a perfect blend of modern elegance and rustic charm. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

Service: The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. The staff worked seamlessly to ensure that every guest felt special and well-cared-for throughout the meal.

Food: The highlight of the evening was, of course, the food. The Garden lounge offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. We started with the roasted beet salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the pan-seared salmon, perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and tender, flaky flesh. The accompanying seasonal vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes were the perfect complements.

My dining companion chose the braised short ribs, which were incredibly tender and flavorful, served with a rich, savory sauce. For dessert, we shared the chocolate lava cake, a decadent treat that provided the perfect ending to our meal.

Drinks: The wine list is extensive and well-curated, featuring selections from both local vineyards and international producers. Our server helped us choose a fantastic Pinot Noir that paired beautifully with our meal.

Overall: The Garden lounge exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a great meal, I highly recommend The Garden lounge. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Extremely Disappointed

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was thoroughly disappointing and needs to be shared. Right from the beginning, the service was lackluster. When I asked the server for a recommendation, his exact response was, “I am confused about which one to suggest.” That kind of response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially when you’re relying on the staff to help guide your choices in a new place.

Unfortunately, the food did nothing to make up for the poor service. The Chicken Tikka (Rs 495) was dry, burnt, and clearly overcooked—far from the juicy, flavourful dish it should be. The Bhetki Batter Fry (Rs 595) was overly greasy, to the point that it felt like biting into oil. And the Peri Peri Fries (Rs. 220)—how do you even mess up fries? They were soggy, limp, and completely lacked seasoning or crunch.

For the price you’re paying, you’d expect decent food and attentive service. Instead, we got neither.

Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews on Google. Based on my visit, it failed on all fronts—taste, quality, service, and value for money. We were so dissatisfied that we left midway through the meal.

This was not just a bad meal—it was a disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting decent food or basic hospitality.

Just a note: they added Service Charge without even asking to the bill.

Please have some decency of running a restaurant.. you people are in service/hospitality sector i hope you guys know...

Kolkata's First Biryani Sizzler is finally at The Garden Lounge.!

Step into the myriad world of harmony, where Nature speaks louder than anything else. A perfect blend of calm and serene, complimented with luxury and opulence, The Garden Lounge blends mysticism elegantly with a poignant touch of sophistication.

The interior is decked with an abundance of green, cane and bamboo fixtures adorning the decorations, murals and graffiti on the walls throwing in a colour of vibrance. The food here is a vivid representation of global cuisine, touching every possible corner so as to offer a variety of choices to the patrons.

Probably the first place to serve Mutton Biryani on a sizzler, this is a testament of fusion blending with tradition. Various kebabs apart from the Mutton Boti, paired with the Salan is perhaps an entire meal in itself.

For starters, the Bharwan Tandoori Aloo and Potato Cheese Balls are something you should not miss. Savour the in-house pizzas, with the Chicken Tikka Pizza creating a storm of flavours in our mouth. Another must try here would be the Asian Non Veg Sizzler.

A mix and match of a plethora of Asian delicacies, gulp the food down with their Mint Mojito, but certainly not before polishing off with the Butter Nan and Kadhai Chicken. A welcome addition to the gastronomic landscape of Kolkata, The Garden Lounge certainly is a name not to be missed.
