I have mixed feelings for this place. Firstly our visit to this place was not planned. We booked our reservation to another nearby place, and one of my cousins, by mistake, entered this place thinking we booked here. The manager did confirm him we have a booking, and I'm not sure why. Maybe the place was empty. When my cousin realized he was in the wrong place, they assured him that food was good and our service is better. He requested we stay here and eat as he was tired from the long day. The other place we booked was through dine out, and we had 50% off on the bill, and this place had 20%. Still, we decided to stay trusting the server and his assurance on food and service. While ordering, he kept on pushing us for platter, let me tell you it was not cheap(2500). As we were 7 people, we decided we would opt for separate started and ordered 3 starters. The server said that each starter has 4 pc, and we ordered two of each. Once the starters came, we realized the quantity in not what he mentioned. It has 6 pcs, and when we asked him why he made us order 2 of each, he said the chef added extra in each(a big lie). By this time, we realize he was trying to just up his bill and nothing else. We asked for a manager, and he wasted 15 min making excuses that he is coming. Finally, when we had enough, we said we would leave now, and the manager came running. After a heated argument and a lot of explanation, truce happened. Service was very nice after that, though our stomach was full with all the starters. We ate very little main course. Overall, the food was tasty. They even gave lime soda and some pastries on the house. Bill was also adjusted, and extra starters were removed. So if you are heading to this place, just confirm a couple of times...
Read moreVisited here on 19th Feb around 5:30 pm. Firstly the bar has an entrance from the side but it was closed. So we had to enter through a Hotel's Lobby where a middle aged man (Receptionist maybe) wearing Khaki waist coat without any reason started sharing information like how many rooms they have,what are the restaurants etc, this man clearly saw us trying to enter the bar using the other gate so he knew why we were there so this type of unnecessary thing wasn't required and unpleasant.
The moment we entered the restaurant and told them we had coupons from nearbuy they said we can't seat on the 2nd floor. We have visted a couple of other restaurants as well who offer these cheap coupons but still you are being treated the same way as the other guests but not in this place.
So with the coupons we ordered beer batter fish fry,Mojito,Ice Tea and Loaded Golden Fries (Chicken & cheese).
Instead of the Loaded Golden Fries (Chicken & cheese) we were served Chicken Strips and no explanation was given why the wrong item was served.
I have ordered a non veg Pizza with pepperoni & salamis separately from the menu.
Food was nice but staffs weren't atleast the two of them whom I encountered with.
If I wouldn't check the nearbuy coupon details I wouldn't even know there are non veg options we can get as the waiter was offering me veg items like baby corn,French Fries etc. I believe he wanted to save cost !
2 star is for the ambience and food.
I hope they start treating people respectfully who goes there by purchasing cheap coupons from nearbuy or just stop selling...
Read moreWe wont ever forget the way they ruined one of my colleague's marriage treat, when on a cursed evening we made the grave mistake of entering this place. It was already a very chaotic ride reaching here because it was a rainy evening.
But what followed was something that we could never imagine about this so called bar and restaurant. Just when we ordered our food and they started serving the starters, the power went off. We soon realised that there was something wrong with Backstage's connection and almost all the staff got busy in sorting it out. When we started sweating, we requested them to cancel our order or at least those items which were yet to be served.
They refused it and said that the dishes are ready. Now, when they started serving , most of the dishes(specially non veg items) were half-cooked and poorly prepared because of no electricity . There was hardly anything that could satisfy our taste-buds. Also, there was just one waiter who was available for service and he too was terribly messed-up and sweating like us.
Finally, when the bill came, they had charged about 30% extra on non-alcoholic items and about 42% extra on already over priced alcoholic items. We requested for some waiver on at least the service charge pertaining to the poor conditions, no AC, poor service, half cooked food(mostly wasted). But they were adamant and refused to oblige.
