I recently visited here with high expectations, hoping to relive the wonderful dining experiences I've had in the past. However, I must say that my recent visit left me deeply disappointed. It's evident that the restaurant has lost its touch over time, and it's no longer the same charming place it used to be. Firstly, the ambiance and decor have started to show signs of age. What was once a vibrant and inviting atmosphere now feels tired and worn-out. The interiors are beginning to look dated, and it's disappointing to see the place not keeping up with the times. Equally disappointing was the decline in the quality of the food. The dishes that once stood out for their exquisite flavors and presentation seemed lackluster during my recent visit. It's disheartening to witness a place that once prided itself on culinary excellence fall short of its own reputation. The flavors were not as vibrant, and the overall execution left much to be desired. Adding to the overall disappointment was the service. The staff appeared clueless about the menu and seemed unprepared to assist guests with their dining choices. It's frustrating to have questions about the menu met with uncertainty and hesitation. Efficient and knowledgeable service is a key component of a memorable dining experience, and unfortunately, this aspect fell short during my visit. In conclusion, my recent visit left me with a sense of disappointment. The restaurant has lost the charm it once had, both in terms of its ambiance and the quality of its food. The decline in food quality and lackluster service further contribute to the overall dissatisfaction. As a frequent patron, it pains me to say that the experience was summed up by the phrase "Sab Ram Bharose Chal Raha Hai." I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to restore the restaurant to its former glory. It's my sincere hope that the restaurant can rediscover its identity and regain the reputation it once held in the hearts of...

Just to clarify when this whole issue happened there were 2 empty tables and 1 was definitely empty for quite sometime with no guests.
To conclude there were 2 issues- the experience itself and the management response. Though the experience itself cannot be changed now the response was as professional as one would expect.
I wish the cafe best of luck for the future. No hard feelings. Also updated rating to 3 from the previous 2.
Edit-
Thanks for the prompt response. The incident happend around 6.30 pm on Sunday. I have also attached the invoice copy for reference. Regards.
I had earlier tried hedgehog cafe and the experience was good. So this time when I was with a friend I insisted We go here since my friend is also fond of books.
10 min after ordering a server came and asked if we could shift to other table since We were 2 person and there was a group of 4 who had just arrived. The other " table" had 2 high stools with no back support which were highly uncomfortable. But still out of courtesy We shifted the table.
Later when other tables got empty We asked the server to shift Us back and his reply was " those are tables for 4 people and if someone else comes you HAVE to shift back again". If we had gone there and it was the only table available We wouldn't have even sat there in the first place. We eventually left after 15 min.
So unless you are 2 people willing to shift to highly uncomfortable tables as per convenience of the cafe avoid this place specially when there are many other options available. I am sure these would not be the views of the management but with the type of server We encountered there is little they can do.
Its a shame that I wont be visiting this place again specially when My first experience was really good. To top it off even the drink I ordered " pineapple mango lemonade" was uncharacteristically fizzy and tasted like tang/rasna. Though the other drink...
Read moreAlthough, I was astound by the idea of the cafe, where books are the core of the entire entity.... The central idea which would hold the place as a timeless cafe.... And so it will remain, don't get me wrong, but it ain't actually a book cafe as no body, firmly saying, no body who visits there actually reads them, except a few good one, who only went there to read.
The music was loud, opposite to the reading atmosphere, the conversations over the customers' desks' were loud, the cricket match commentary on the screen was buzzing.. Any appealing traits? Yes Plenty, the fragrance was soothing, the atmosphere was comforting, the the smell of books always sends the book dweebs like me into a trance, although the space was I'll managed, I feel it was still dominated by the way the staff managed it. It was commendable. The Food, We ordered a basic pizza, Margherita, and umm blue berry cheesecake, we weren't establishing any appetite but yes, we looked at the dishes after getting served with glittery eyes. Contrary to the taste. Which could have been better, softer to eat and swallow.... The cheesecake was tooo sweet, good thing or not, I couldn't really decide, the cake was rather more on the acidic side, which caused a deliberate itch in my throat, may be because of the cheese on top, which didn't gel with my palate much. I'd rate it 6/10. Overall, it was my first visit, may be after a few I'd be surprised, but I don't think I met my illusionary expectation from the place before my first visit as I always adored the idea and wanted to go there with lavish hopes. The staff was amicable. I'd give them that. Overall there is always room for improvement, but...
